Arizona Biltmore, A Waldorf Astoria Resort Phoenix Reviews from The Last Year
Pickle Ball Pros
i took pickle ball lessons with Josh and Brendan every day for a week. Both my game and my husband’s game improved emmensely. I had taken many lessons in Toronot prior and never improved the way I did under their instruction. They are enthusiastic, kind and very skilled. I highly recommend.
Probably won’t return unless I go for free. Dated. Expensive for the offerings. Will try other new places first.
Pleasant but dated and not comfortable. Cinder block construction throughout is awful but they’ve done an OK job trying to make the best of it. The Adobe Restaurant across the canal from the hotel’s main lobby was very good. One of the water slides was broken on Mother’s Day which was a very busy day for the hotel. Didn’t see anyone there working to fix it. Way finding was very difficult and in some places the signs were misleading. Very few chairs were at the pool unless I chose to pay to reserve one for myself. Staff at the front desk tried hard to please guests.
We found a live cockroach on our bed .
The doors have major gaps that let light and bugs in. The cabinets in the bathroom were like a Picasso painting. They only offered half off our 2nd night we were not using due to the cockroach. They have tons of weird stuff in the walls that get in the way of using luggage without risk of knocking it off the walls. The food and drink is way overpriced . The cheapest drink is $20. The food at MaCaurthers was disappointing in quality and portion. The fried chicken sandwich had a sliver of chicken in between the breading. The water they gave us was warm with no ice. We told them we were canceling our upcoming stay next month for an upcoming competition and they were fine with that.
Another great visit
Another amazing few days spent at this beautiful property. The staff is great and the grounds are beautiful. They always treat us well here. Thanks much, biltmore! We will be back. Really enjoyed the villa and the view of the golf course. Only critique is the breakfast not as good as used to be, very sadly.
Outstanding Luxury Experience with Amazing Staff, Facilities & Service
We stayed here for 5 nights at the end of April 2024. It was truly beyond amazing on every level. From the moment we arrived at the front door the VIP treatment started. Our rooms were ready early at 12 noon for check in. We were located in The Octalia Wing with Fire Pit Patio Rooms overlooking the pool which included Citrus Club access. The team at The Citrus Club set this property at a whole other level. The concierge Sunny Clawson and her team put on an outstanding experience every time you visit the club….breakfast, coffees, appetizers, cocktails, desserts, board games & expert advice all delivered in a stunning environment with indoor & outdoor areas. A must if you are visiting the hotel. We spent most our 5 days at the property relaxing by the pools, the Spa and the a citrus Club. The variety of the pools is incredible. The adult only Saguaro pool is a super cool vibe and Parker and his team there make everyone feel special and welcome. The Octalia Pool was very chilled and quieter but again had great bar service and very comfortable loungers. The main Paradise pool is huge, has a nice swim up bar and also the Twist Slide - I did it twice and loved it….very fast but breathtaking. We also visited the Catalina pool which is so tranquil and quiet….a beautiful place to switch off. This whole property is truly an outstanding experience in every sense and at every turn. You can feel the pride from every team member. Everybody should grab the chance to experience the Arizona Biltmore.
I stayed here on my birthday and it was wonderful! Special
I stayed here on my birthday and it was wonderful! Special shout out to Dominique from Citrus Club and Elise from the Tierra Luna Spa !!!! They were both exceptional!!! !
Stunning historical property ❤️
Stunning historical property. I loved our stay here. The rooms were fantastic very clean. My sister in law had a hiccup at check in and they upgraded her to a townhouse. We stayed in the regular room but it was perfect and in a perfect location. We loved all the pools there and the food was fantastic as well as the bars. Try the Tequila sunrise yum 😋 and it was invented here! Great stay!
Wonderful History Tour of The AZ Biltmore
History Tour The history is a must ! Our guide Ashley was charming, informative and professional ! We were fascinated by the many details regarding construction plans between Frank Lloyd Wright and his former student Mr. McArthur ! We even saw Clark Gable’s favorite room and the Speakeasy room with secret escape door !
I would just pass.
Overall it is fun to see the old place but it needs a refresh. The bar staff in the lobby were icy cold , snobby , rude, shy? Who knows. It was cringe. And for 3 cocktails we were charged 71$. The room was nice. We had a patio with lots of lounges and a fire pit with a door to the overcrowded child pool with a slide. Would've preferred an adult pool. Saturday afternoon there were now towels to be had because there were no lounges available. A nice waiter told us about an adjacent pool which was lovely and stocked with towels. The bell men were tops. The valet parking staff were friendly and fast, loved them. You must valet unless you want to hike a quarter mile. We had lunch in a restaurant that was open for lunch in the lobby and it was overpriced and food was underwhelming. The waitress was nice and did her best for us. The bar waitresses in the center patio were also great and super friendly. The housekeeper staff was great cleaning our room when we asked and grabbing toiletries we'd forgotten in no time at all. Top notch. Beds comfortable and lovely sheets. Our shower was nice but had a weird leaky drop area above the spigot. Towels lux and those and large. We had plenty of bottled water. Nice little espresso machine in room. The checkin was a few minute the attendant was pleasant. My other giant faults were the fees for this and that the valet and the resort fees Not to mention the taxes. Put it at a definite to return. Especially seeing g how hose I was compared to other reviewers here. I wanted to stay, did it.
Wannabe Luxury
This property is over- hyped and not up to claiming a legacy or being called “iconic”. Rooms are un-inspiring, and though I was due an upgrade on my already $850 “luxury” room, I was placed adjacent to a delivery loading dock with food products strewn about and in the hallway adjacent to my room. I am sure the history is impressive and Frank Lloyd Wright was a genius, but this facility is engaged in grand self promotion that is simply not justified. I have stayed at many luxury properties and this is far from inclusion in that list.
The best... that is all
This is an amazing hotel! Stopped by here while on the road with the family and was blown away by the buatify of this place. It is simply amazing! We had a suite and the room was big, clean, well appointed and smart. The hotel is family friendly as well as suitable for adults only. The proprety has so much to offer. One of the best hotels I've ever stayed in.
Amazing Property
Wow I don't know where to start this hotel was Phenomenal! We were upgraded to the Ocatilla Wing. And the room was beautiful with its own pool attached. The restaurants were so good , the drinks were great. The bellman's even were helpful I would go back in a heart beat . I am as Task force Consultant in Hospitality Management and I can stay the service here was Above Average. They even have turn down service in the evenings. . I will be back . Great job . Waldorf
Nice accommodations.
Staff not very friendly. Nice view of the pool. I would revisit with the family.
Worst, and I mean worst "resort" I've been to.
The room was disgusting and smelled like a Holiday Inn. The front desk staff were at utmost rude and unhelpful team. Rooms in the main hotel were so noisy we were told they would bring us ear plugs if the people in the lobby would not shut up at 11:30 at night. Tell me if a room that smells like cheap coffee and has water stains, broken hair dryer and security door locks is worth $600 a night! To top it off, only offered $100 resort credit which they didn't add until after I checked out and received the bill. Disorganized and useless. Others in the company stated similar experiences in the rooms. Checked in and "reserved a room" then put next door when "we gave that room to a guest last night. the room we put you in is the same 'class'". It was smaller and wrecked. See the pics of this dated and broken down room. Felt like Motel 8 rather than a "resort"... And there are better rooms at the SpringHill suites I just stayed at in Goodyear this past week!! Tell me, how do you justify paying full price of $800 a night here?? Place needs to be shut down. Have requested our company not to host our team here, again.

I went to Phoenix for the Jazz Festival and to attend a Suns game. I was extremely excited to stay at the Biltmore as I love historical sites, and I'd booked a room with a fire pit on the balcony. I'm also a YouTuber and I couldn't wait to film some videos on the balcony. When I checked in, I noticed that the person checking me in, didn't pay as much attention to me as the other person checking in the "doctor" next to me did. I wasn't informed about some of the highlights of the property, nor was I even offered water. The doctor next to me was offered "room temperature or chilled", and given an amazing presentation about the property-I was not. When I got to my room, the balcony was facing a street and several cars went by. I was told it was a "private street" and hardly any cars pass by. See my video, where not only are cars going by, they're cutting the grass and it's extremely noisy. I requested a different room as I was there to relax and film. I was told that I was getting moved to the exact same room on a different floor. When I arrived at that room, guess what, no balcony. I was informed that all of the fire pit rooms were facing that street. Imagine my surprise when the next morning, as I was walking around, I saw other rooms with fire pits facing a garden. Why wasn't I offered one of those rooms? Then, at valet...I waited over 20 minutes for my car and when I went to inquire about this, the valet hadn't even told them to get my car. The next day, when I got my car, the valet smelled so bad, a mixture of arm pit funk and weed, I had to drive around for 20 minutes with the windows down in order to clear the smell. The next time, I dropped y car off with the valet, he sat in it with the car running for about ten minutes while he had a conversation with his coworker-you'd have thought it was his car, and not mine he was running the gas out of. I sat in the lobby and watched him. While at the pool, no one served me, I had to get up and get my own drink. I hate to bring race into anything, so I started talking with other brown guests in order to see if they'd experienced the same treatment. Well, 3 out of 5 did. I think the staff needs better training or cultural sensitivity classes. When I complained, I was told someone would get back to me. Well, a manager called as I was on my way home. He was supposed to call me back yesterday, but I'm still waiting. Needless to say, the resort is nice, and had I had a better experience, I'd definitely stay there again. I'm disappointed as I didn't get what I paid for, and I feel like the resort staff doesn't really care, as nothing was done about it. Apologies were offered, but you ruined my vacation. I've stayed at resorts my entire life and I own a timeshare, so I'm well aware as to how I should've been treated. I'm very disappointed and needless to say, I won't be recommending this resort to my clients. FYI, I'm also a travel agent. Be careful how you treat people, you never know who you're treating badly. I was going to feature this hotel on my social media, where I have over 30,000 followers, but I refuse to give them that attention. My friend stayed at the Residence Inn Mayo Clinic, and she had a much better time-not to mention she paid about half of what I did. I felt like Dorothy Dandridge when she dipped her toe in the pool and they drained it.

Very knowledgeable tour guide Beautiful facility I highly recommend the tour Perhaps stay for lunch or a drink @ the bar
I can't say enough amazing things about Arizona Biltmore.
I frequently come here to play violin, especially for their Easter and Thanksgiving brunch and just LOVE it here. The chefs are beyond amazing and I get so excited to eat here!! The staff is unbelievably caring and every person that comes in always enjoys their time. They are all about hospitality here and so excited when I get to visit here to play violin.
We participated in the Happy Hour History Tour.
It was a great experience. The tour guide did an awesome job in telling us about the history of the Biltmore and Frank Lloyd Wright. I definitely recommend.

Do not stay in room 7367 or likely other top floor rooms if you are interested in sleeping. The HVAC went off all night every 20 minutes and vibrated the room. The manager did not seem very interested in my feedback. Highly disappointing.
Experienced an Arizona Gem!
The bedroom was very spacious and a very nice bathroom! I enjoyed the soaps and shower gel/shampoo. The pools were absolutely outstanding. Very nice temperature and I believe they use salt water pools which is better for your skin and overall health. Towels were plentiful. Great evening events and entertainment. Tennis courts were very nice with clay and hard court options. Would definitely stay again!

Hey @FluffyStar64, thanks for the question! When you place your bid the amount gets transferred in a deposit account, the second you either cancel your bid or a few minutes after the bid expires the funds are moved back into your main account from where you can refund it to your payment method or use for other transactions.
