They advertise as being a rooftop bar, but 80% of it is covered. The other 20% has been roped off from non-existent private parties. They're understaffed and have a very limited rooftop food menu. You're better off going somewhere else for after work drinks.
It was a fabulous dinner with my wife on a trip to NYC.
I actually heard of it because Stuart Woods novels often had his main character, Stone Barrington, frequenting Patroon's after Elaine's closed. Also, Stuart Woods frequented the place. Anyway, Stephane and his wait staff provided superb service, really the best ever. The food and wine was wonderful and we also enjoyed the bar. Unfortunately, the roof top bar was closed for a private event so we did not get to enjoy it, however the bar in the restaurant was very clubby and cozy. Young Aretsky was very nice and engaging. The entire evening was great. When we Texans return to NYC, hopefully next month, we will make sure to have dinner at Patroons!

This Restaurant is more then Michelin, my experience there was unique. What a fantastic Wine, delicious food and lovely team. Such a memorable evening.

the server was professional, attentive, and courteous . it was our first time at Aretsky's Patroon which was recommended by a friend who is a local and the family owned restaurant did not disappoint. I love the tuna app, crab cakes app and the bread was to die for. Every entree was fabulous. The halibut and paella, but let's not forget the lobster Mac and cheese side! they sent us an order of beignets after telling them we were from New Orleans and they were also delicious!!! I can't say enough good things about this place. I love that it's a family owned restaurant and the family is there working the floor. We will definitely be back!!!

Perfect place for a business lunch because it was spacious and relatively quiet (we could hear each other) and the food was really delicious! Great service, too; the staff was very professional and friendly. I had the kale salad.

We were the only ones there not pitching something to each other. Nonetheless, the servers were friendly but not intrusive. Although several servers helped us throughout the course of the meal, it didn't feel disjointed. Tuna steak was nicely prepared. Duck fat potatoes were nice, but perhaps not as flavorful as one might have expected. Acoustics were good, which probably explains why it's a good place for meetings.

Prepaid Reservation Fee

When you sell a reservation that has a prepaid fee AT takes a commission on that fee. This doesn’t really make sense because it’s an expense the seller incurs not part of the profit that is shared.
For example:
Carbone NYC fee to book table for 2 is $108.88
If you sell it for $200 on AT you get $140 from them.
Your net profit is $31 and AT collects $60 in fees.
It would make more sense not to charge commission on the upfront fee as this creates a disincentive and results in higher costs for buyers.

Agreed. Ultimately not addressing this month after month is clearly resulting in a drop in certain venue’s rankings & sales.
