Indulgent
This tea-based restaurant is situated above the canal in Marina Bay Sands. It's expensive, as is everything in the shopping centre, but an experience worth having in my view. Service is deferential which means you have to try to catch the eye on the waitperson to get served. All very friendly, though. My wife and I had a pot of tea each and it was pleasant. We also had a lemon tart (absolutely gorgeous according to my wife who is an expert in lemon tarts) and a lovely Paris Brest pastry. Very indulgent but a good place to have a break from walking and window-shopping.

We should have known better, in Paris Angelina is an elegant cafe, at MBS it is a cafe squeezed on a small platform with a small shop adjacent to it. It took a long time to get seated, and then service just drags on. In a way they want to be elegant in their service but just not working. And then the surrounding, just a different experience. Plus very high prices but that is more and more a Singapore thing, in the end it is not worth it.
Be the first to ReplyOver-priced food, poor service
The food was somewhat decent but the range and variety in menu is extremely limited. While the service staff are polite, the service is extremely slow. We had to send our bill back three because they kept getting the items wrong and had to ask for dishes / cutlery / water / drinks multiple times. Overall not somewhere we’d ever return. Food is also extremely overpriced, not worth it.

Sweet memories from Paris. We had our favourite hot chocolate. It was as good as the one we had in Paris. We had a table on the bridge over the water way inside the mall. Service was good and we just enjoyed it.

Excellent food which was very delicious and surprisingly affordable. Brilliant location and the staff was very friendly. The staff was very attentive and made sure we were taken care of, maybe because it was not that busy when we came (weekday lunch) would 100% come here again. Very enjoyable experience on top of the Bottega canal. Loved it

One of the few cafes to rest your feet after MBS shopping. Apparently from paris, this bistro has french pastries, cakes and some food like pastas and mains. Ok food and service

Service is very slow even with a lot of staff. High tea set for 2 is smaller than expected. Not even played presentably.
Food was okay but can’t beat the one in France. Very different in quality.
Afternoon tea on a public holiday
Came here for afternoon tea on a public holiday luckily i called in to make a reservation as there was a long queue. So happen the public holiday falls on a weekday as they don't take reservation on weekends.
We ordered the afternoon tea set for 2 and it's $59 for 2 after taxes is $69.40 which i think was quite alright as we could choose any 2 drinks a éclair and 2 financier. We ordered their Angelina tea, their signature hot chocolate, caramel éclair and pistachio fancier. Their hot chocolate was quite rich the tea was nice and we enjoyed the caramel éclair and pistachio fancier. The other items on the tier however was average the mount blac was just ok too.
Overall however my friend and i enjoyed our afternoon tea and the service by Mr .. can't remember his name but he was very nice and polite as we requested to add hot water to the hot chocolate as it was too rich and did not charge us and extra $2 as said by his other colleague who told us there will be a charge of $2 if we request for hot water. We will defiantly be back to try their breakfast or brunch.
Opera cake
The opera cake is nice melting in the mouth smoothly. But, it will be great if less sweet for healthiness.

Small space but it offers a good view of the shopping mall and the gondolas floating by. I like the natural daylight that comes through. However, some people could find it warm. It was perfect for me. We had two desserts- mont blanc and the chocolate tarte. I prefer the chocolate tart . So rich and the entire tarte is done in dark chocolate.

We were showed to the table promptly. However getting their attention to order took a while. We ordered two dishes, the Paris Brest and the Montblanc which was recommended to us. When the desserts came, it was mixed up. My partner was served my order and vice versa. We didn’t know any better because there were no pics on the menu.
The Montblanc tasted terrible. It was like a powdery yam flavour. I couldn’t finish it. Only when we were done we found out that it was mixed up. We highlighted this to the waiter and there was no apology.
The hot chocolate was bitter and the texture was so thick it’s undrinkable.
Never coming back again
Living the life of a Parisian
Living the life of a Parisian. Well not quite but the closest we can get for now, sipping hot chocolate while savouring the hot plates and pastries as gondola sail by below.
I’ll recommend to go for their famed ‘L’Africain Hot Chocolate. Made from three kinds of cocoa (from Niger, Ghana and Côte d'Ivoire), the molten drink served with whipped cream is incredibly luscious and chocolaty.
As for mains, we had the devilish good Scallop Aglio Olio ($24) and Croque-Monsieur ($18) to share. Both of which was polished off quickly.
Plus they are running a promotion now, with every main ordered on weekdays, get a compliment creamy mushroom soup or garden salad!
P.S: did you know their cakes and chocolates are flown in directly from Paris?
Great dinner Wonderful dessert
Came for dinner. The food was good. Slow cooked chicken was tender and flavourful; club sandwich was nice, fillings tasty and vegetables fresh; signature Mont Blanc was great esp the cream together with chestnut paste though base a little too sweet for me, Paris-bres was good too with the crispy praline inside. The chocolate flavoured tea was smooth and Angelina Ice tea had a great blend. Staff was attentive. Unfortunately did not get to taste the hot and ice chocolate because these were not available.

The food was rather good, you can tell that the ingredients used were fresh and of high quality. The variety was slightly lacking though, and the drinks available were lacking and honestly not that great. However, the water was $2 PER GLASS and non-refillable. Service was also quite terrible as the servers were rude (i.e. instead of politely suggesting something they were rash about ordering bottles of water over the $2 glasses of water), even when we would call on them they would just walk away, they had a lack of menus and plates/cutlery. It was an overall quite terrible experience, I wouldn’t suggest visiting again and I definitely will not be going back agai
