Angel Queens Reviews from The Last Year
Really great Indian spot! I've been wanting to come here
Really great Indian spot! I've been wanting to come here for awhile since I've had several friends rave about it. The inside isn't that big, not many tables so definitely be prepared for a wait during peak meal times or if you have a large group. I wouldn't recommend this as a place for large groups (more than 4 but 6 might be pushing it). My friends and I decided to order takeout since we were a large group. We got: - Goat biryani - Chicken biryani - Lamb bhuna (comes with rice) - Lamb rogan josh (comes with rice) - 2 butter chicken (comes with 2 rices) - 2 garlic naan - Samosa chaat - Mango lassi Everything was good and this was a perfect amount of food for 7 people. My favorite was the samosa chaat appetizer, butter chicken, and chicken biryani. Another thing to note is that they did not ask for spice level preferences, so I assume that means the spice is all pretty standardized. They have non-spicy dishes, but the spicy dishes we ordered were definitely pretty spicy so if you're sensitive to spice, please keep this in mind. The mango lassi was good, but despite being refrigerated, it wasn't cold enough for me. I had to ask for a glass of ice to pour into it. While everything was good, I do want to dine in person to see if there's any differences since it would be fresher. Will definitely be back!
I really wanted to like this restaurant and the food but
I really wanted to like this restaurant and the food but unfortunately the food was below par. Tic tok over hyped this restaurant.
The food at angel was very flavorful and fresh.
I will give all those a warning when it comes to spice levels - there wasn't anything to indicate what we ordered was spicy and it was very spicy. So just a heads up that although they are your typical Indian staples, the spice is bumped up. The food took some time to come out but that was to be expected when it comes to excellence. The nan was also nicely chargrilled and fluffy. The portions were big enough that two entrees could feed 4 people. There is a wait because there isn't much seating and reservations are highly recommended. It's a no frills kind of ambiance, it's all about the food here. I would recommend trying whatever the server believes is the best. That's what I have done and it hasn't failed me.
I can't describe how amazing their food was for us.
We ordered multiple appetizers, and the portions were so generous they could easily be a meal. The Chicken PB 35, a version of Chicken 65, and the Dahi Puri were both my personal favorites. The chicken was just delicious, juicy, and spicy. The Tandoori Chicken and Chole Bhature were great as well. The only downside to this restaurant is the limited space. The front room is small and can get quite hot. We had a stroller with us, and it was quite uncomfortable to navigate. However, the staff went above and beyond to accommodate us, even ensuring the door didn't hit the stroller when it opened. Their attentiveness and incredible service really stood out. Despite the space issue, the food and service make this place worth a visit. Highly recommend!
This place was recommended to us by some friends while we
This place was recommended to us by some friends while we were visiting New York. Definitely worth the hype! The restaurant itself is small with minimal seating so no guarantee that you'll get a table immediately. The food, however, is SO GOOD that it's worth the wait. Thankfully, we didn't have to wait and were seated almost after 3-4 minutes of waiting. Out of everything that we had ordered, the chole bhature were the best. There were 5 adults and a child and our bill came out to about $140 plus tip. Whenever I visit the city next time, I will definitely be going here again!
Saw so many reviews about this place that we had to check
Saw so many reviews about this place that we had to check it out! Honestly, a little dissatisfied. Here is a list of some of the items we tried: Saag Paneer: 3/5 very watery, though the paneer was good Butter Chicken: 3/5 pretty good and probably our favorite item here but not the best we have had. Chicken Dum Biryani: 2/5 very disappointed with this one! We were so excited to try it and presentation was great but it lacked flavor and salt! Overall not a place we would crave to go back to.
Be ready to sweat from head to toe and be careful bringing
Be ready to sweat from head to toe and be careful bringing elderly folks to the restaurant as you might get seated in the outdoor storage box which had barely any airflow with steaming food inside that made it difficult to enjoy the experience let alone breath due to the hot weather.
100% worth it.
I highly recommend having a reservation no matter what time of day or what day you decide to go. That being said, you may wait a bit but a spontaneous visit will still give you a chance to try some of this great food. This is what an Indian restaurant needs to thrive to be. The place may look unassuming but the food speaks for itself. We had a party of 6 people and were able to order a lot of different things. You cannot go wrong in picking anything that sounds appealing to you. The thing to note, as an Indian that loves spice, for anyone that cannot handle much spice (heat or seasoning), listen to the waitstaff on what will be spicy as they cannot cut down on spice. Of course, they can make things more spicy than the baseline of the given dish. The portions are more than enough and the service is pretty good.
Really good spot for Indian food! Don't expect overly much
Really good spot for Indian food! Don't expect overly much from the service or the setting; definitely on the spottier/"more rude" side, but it's almost what I expect from a spot that just focuses on good food. We got the Paneer P.B35, which was good. The paneer is super fresh and has a very strong creamy flavor, which I don't typically get from restaurant paneer. The flavoring is very similar to a Chinese style kung pao dish, and is a tad bit much on the sweetness. Overall, still super unique and would recommend. The dish I enjoyed more was the lotus root korma. Super interesting, with ground up lotus root formed into balls and served in a delicious sauce. The texture of the balls are something I haven't had before, and the flavor of the lotus root is super subtle. Definitely recommend! The garlic naan was too charred for me personally. Would recommend this spot!!
Came by on a Saturday afternoon around 2pm.
The place was busy. Didn't have a reservation, so we put our names on the waitlist. Despite it being an off hour, we were given a wait time of 1.5 hours. We spent time elsewhere, but were called back after 20 minutes. It took us about 30 minutes to head back, but luckily the table was still available. It seems that despite the long estimate, there are walk-ins quite readily available starting at 3pm for smaller parties. Started off with the mango lassi. So refreshing on a hot day. The do prepare them in advance and keep them in the refrigerator until people order them. It was quite disappointing when they weren't filled completely either. Samsosa was good. Nice and flakey outside, jam packed with nicely seasoned potatoes on the inside. Garlic naan also very tasty. Loved the amount of garlic on it. However, there were a lot of pieces that looked burnt on the bottom. Tasted overly charred too. Butter chicken was great. All the dishes come with a side of basmati rice. It was a good amount of food since the rice and naan are so filling. The chicken was perfectly spiced and had a slight kick to it. The sauce was creamy, and the chicken was tender. Make a reservation ahead of time because the place is small. Otherwise come at an off time or else there's a good chance you won't get seated.
Such an amazing cozy experience on a rainy day.
Made a reservation for a late lunch at 2pm or so and it was still pretty packed! Sat in the outdoor tent area. Service was great and food was delicious - really really hit the spot. My favorites were the garlic naan with lamb vindaloo and the samosas. While I enjoyed the channa masala and chicken briyani, they weren't my favorite and could have been more flavorful or spicy. Definitely recommend and I will be back!! So happy I got to try. Truly still craving this food.
I came to this restaurant for their delicious food, not for
I came to this restaurant for their delicious food, not for their venue and service. I made no mistake, it was indeed very delicious!
The service here is amazing although the Indian/desi food
The service here is amazing although the Indian/desi food flavors are not authentic. If your a brown person that is coming here because the biryani looks cool on the gram DONT DO IT! You will be disappointed and realize that this place is a tourist trap when you order their sugary chicken tikka and some spicy and tasteless rice that they call "biryani".
Oh man, my friend and I were SO looking forward to dinner
Oh man, my friend and I were SO looking forward to dinner here, but it turned out to be a disappointment. Ratings and photos of the food looked amazing, especially the cool videos we've seen of the Dum Biryanis. We made a reservation for 8:30 p.m. (it was the only time slot left) on a Saturday. Despite arriving a few minutes before our reservation, we had to wait in the freezing cold for about 15 minutes until a table was finally ready. Staff was nice and helpful! We ordered Goat Dum Biryani ($24.99), Butter Chicken ($18.99), and Garlic Naan ($5). It was cool to see the waiter cut the naan open and reveal a clay pot of biryani, but that was the best part about the dish. The biryani wasn't spicy, barely had any salt, and overall it lacked flavor. The goat meat's texture was perfect but again, it was bland. The Butter Chicken just didn't hit the spot for me. The cream was quite heavy - as it should be - but it was kinda sweet. You can't go wrong with Garlic Naan, and that was the only thing I enjoyed here.
Food is very good Best food I had in a long time best
Food is very good Best food I had in a long time best Indian spot in Jackson heights New York 10/10 service very satisfied with everything perfect place to eat with family and friends totally recommend
The food is incredible, it's such small spot, tucked away.
You wouldn't even know that some of the best indian food ( Atleast that I've ever had in NYC exists ). The service is super fast, and the employees are very respectful. I recommend this place to anyone. You will not be disappointed.
I stopped in here for dinner as the place is small we sat
I stopped in here for dinner as the place is small we sat at the curbside seating which was just a wooden box. I ordered the butter chicken which was not very rich in flavorful and was more soupy than anything.
Rating: 4.
5 Amazing Northern Indian restaurant in Jackson Heights! Would recommend having a reservation on the weekend - the place was really busy. We ordered the pani puri, dhal, lamb vindaloo, garlic naan, and chicken biryani. This was my first time trying pani puri and I loved it. It's refreshing, flavorful, and crispy and offsets the spice in the rest of the meal well. Would definitely order again. I was also a big fan of the dhal and chicken biryani, though I would note that every dish we ordered (except the pani puri) was decently spicy, even if they weren't labeled spicy on the menu. I don't often make the trek out to Jackson Heights, but this place is worth going to!
Incredible food and a cozy experience.
I've had some good Indian cuisine, but this is next level.
Fantastic for a group outing
We were a group of 12 and we had a FANTASTIC meal at Angel. The food was surprising, interesting, rib-sticking, and just delicious. There were plenty of options for vegetarians as well as carnivores. We left full and warm and simply delighted. Thank you to Azar and Angel and we will return!
This was an incredible meal.
Everything was so tasty, we loved all the dishes. Flavor profile of everything was so good.
Authentic and delicious
Extraordinary Indian food at a very reasonable price. There are just a few tables in this unassuming store front, but the food is absolutely first rate. Parking is a nightmare, and takeout might prove a more viable option than dining in.
Best indian food in NY
Authentic and delicious food. Service 5 stars. Amazing experience. Limitless recommended. Low prices.

Thank you for the question, if a seller is working on answering your bid, you cannot cancel it until their time is up and the bid is released back to you. The full amount of funds then go back into your AT account. Typically a seller has 48-72 hours to complete the bid.
