Amangani Jackson Reviews from The Last Year
Luxurious and tranquil
A boutique hotel with only 40 suites. Each suite has a fireplace and mountain views and soaking tub. Fully stocked fridge with snacks and no. alcoholic drinks included. Check-in: Very smooth and luxurious. I just pulled up and my car and bags were taken care of. I was greeted by concierge and we got a tour of the hotel. The view is breathtakingly beautiful when you walk in. I had to take a minute to take it all in. Room: very spacious and luxurious. it was nice to come back from a 6 hour hike to a fireplace and soaking tub. Bath salts and bubble bath are in the room. We asked for our fridge to be stocked with water and sparkling water. We were given stainless steel water bottles. There are several water refill stations in the hotel and huckleberry juice available. Spa: Not a destination spa but my massage by Rita was THE best massage I've had in a long time. I'm a chiropractor and I get weekly massages and am typically disappointed in the treatment but Rita was amazing. She helped me with my neck pain. I was 80% better. Concierge: Celecia helped me find a proper cervical pillow. She showed me the choices and I tried them both. Your wish is always granted here at Amangani.
Tranquil Oasis in Jackson Hole
We concluded our visit to the Grand Tetons and Yellowstone with a three night stay here. It’s very expensive but they deliver. Right now, I’m lounging by the pool with a jaw dropping view at the Tetons. They are even reflected in the pool when no one is in it. The pool has a temperature of 80° with an adjoining hotter whirlpool. The hotel and rooms are in a tasteful modern western vibe with lots of wood. We are in the lowest category room and it’s lovely. There is a terrace with a view with both chairs and chaise lounges. Inside, there is a seating area as part of the bedroom. The separate closet and bathroom areas are enormous and has all the usual high-end Aman amenities. Shower is excellent. And yes, even the shower and the toilet have views. Plentiful snacks, and nonalcoholic drinks are provided and included. Housekeeping does a first class job in cleaning the room and turndown service. Hypoallergenic bedding available and thanks for putting it on before we arrived. The restaurant is very expensive, but has delicious, high-quality food and attentive service to match. The elk and salmon we tried were terrific, as were the carrots and broccolini. The food we ordered at poolside was also very good and nicely presented in a way that made it easy to enjoy. For breakfast, you can eat in the restaurant, or do as we did and enjoy the included pastries, and coffee in the lobby. Welcome and check in were easy and we enjoyed the huckleberry lemonade welcome drink. Everything was so nice and relaxing, and any suggestions for improvement are so minor that I hesitate to make them, but here goes: - pool service is great when it’s there but doesn’t always seem to be around. Would be good to have someone there from 10-5. - turndown service arrived at 9 one night which was late for us. It arrived while we were at dinner the first night which was perfect. - they sometimes run out of pastries and even coffee in the morning in the lobby. I think they may eventually replenish but no one wants to ask or to wait for coffee in the morning. Again, we are loving our stay. Their main competitor is the Four Seasons in Teton Village. After taking a peek, we vastly prefer here unless you are visiting for the skiing. We’d happily stay here again.
Beautiful hotel, but boring and quiet
If you’re here to visit Jackson Hole to do more than just sit at your hotel, I would not stay here. We had a very good chat with the GM David and Tyler, the food and beverage manager, who really want their guests to feel welcome, but this is purely our experience. Beyond coming “home”, going to bed, waking up and eating breakfast (which WAS delicious), and leaving for the day, there was nothing about the hotel that made us want to spend more time. It has sweeping views, but I wish for a few things- I wish they offered a tour beyond the actual spa and lobby of the ground and maybe the history behind the property I wish they offered bear spray on arrival or even put in the rooms assuming most people come to Jackson to do outdoor activities- it would have been a nice touch instead of going to town and spending over $60-70 on a can that may go unused and end up a waste I wish they offered a complimentary, private 2-4 hour tour of your choice for guests staying beyond a couple days, or some in-house activities having to do with wellness/fitness, couples yoga or cooking or wine tasting without extra fees. To pay over $6K on 4 days without really any organized activity just to sleep there just felt like we should have stayed elsewhere because you really only should stay if you want complete zen/quiet time. Staff are nice but all still learning and felt a bit temporary. I’m also happy we didn’t bring our little ones here- I’m afraid other guests would have found them to be too loud possibly. Husband loves the gym, but this gym was TINY for the size of the property. No more than two people can work out at the same time if doing weights. Overall, beautiful property and they did wish us a happy anniversary with champagne and chocolate, but this place just needs more life and more than just its beauty to pull you!
Amangani
I wasn’t as impressed as I thought I’d be. The reception was kinda weird. It felt like most of the staff are temporary workers and not really a career. It’s a really small town and all the other towns around it are even smaller. You can eat at the 2 restaurants in the hotel or go into town and have a choice of 4-5 at most. Not sure why the town is so popular. Not much to do there. Anyways the hotel room was big and they have a nice heated pool with an incredible view but that was about it. I also thought the room could use a facelift. It is one of their oldest property.
The service is very good; the people are very kind.
They have a fireplace of real wood and the view outside is nice. Food is pretty good, especially the steak and truffle fries. However, it is a little slow for the food to come. Even when we are the only customers, we have to wait for a rather long time. The price of some delicacies are a little high, but overall, five star!
Incredible Place! Highly Recommend it
Got married here! Best decision of my life… the entire place is stunning beautiful and everything was absolutely perfect! The staff was incredible and Melanie helped with the wedding coordination and acted as a wedding planner! She was incredible and the rest of the staff was just as great! Highly recommend this place and we will be back!
Extremely Disappointed!
This is the worst of the Aman properties. It is one of the older Amans and hasn't been updated. When I went during the winter season the hot water went down for the entire 3 days I was there and the internet was also not working. General Manager is terrible and unaccommodating! Don't waste your time here
One of the weaker Amans in their portfolio, although it doesn't have to be that way
My wife and her mother stayed here in 2016, and even then, she didn't exactly come back gushing about her stay. While there is nothing inherently wrong with Amangani, it's just not a place that is particularly memorable. Service is adequate, the hard product is aging but is decently maintained, and the food is as awful as my wife remembered it (I was also not impressed.) We stayed in the Spring Gulch Suite, which is arguably the best room on site. Having stayed in the exact same room last time, my wife was really hoping to try the Amangani Suite, since it's the only one that supposedly offers views of the Teton Range. Unfortunately, by the time we tried to book (about 4 months out), it had already been taken. Why do all of the other rooms not have Teton views, you ask? First is the location - it's actually about 25 minutes away (by vehicle) to the first viewpoint - it's closer to Jackson than it is to Grand Teton N.P. Secondly, the property is angled in a way where it faces away from the Tetons - you do get a very nice view of mountains and the valley below, but be aware that it is not a view of the Tetons. Aside from that, the room was adequate. One thing we don't like about most Amans is their lack of true Suites. What they call Suites are actually junior suites - it's an open plan room where the living room and bedroom is in one (large) shared space, which is inconvenient during times when I want to do my own thing (i.e. work or be on conference calls) and she wants to do her thing (sleep, watch Netflix, etc.) On the positive side, our unit had two separate bathrooms, which my wife always appreciates (as I said, she's a clean freak!) Since we rented a vehicle and have been to Grand Teton (and Yellowstone) several times before, we did not avail ourselves to any specific Aman experiences. Keep in mind that none of the experiences they offer are particularly exclusive - you can either do it yourself, or hire a local tour company to provide the same experience at a much lower price. Given our familiarity with the area, we also did not need any concierge-style services. The staff were friendly and professional overall; they fulfilled every one of our requests with competence. That said, we never got a sense of familiarity with the staff as we have at other Amans - there seemed to be constant shifts and rotations of people on duty to the point where we were asked our room number on numerous occasions (Amans are known for not asking because they do/should know who you are.) The two things that stand out that are not luxury-like are the food and room amenities. The restaurant is not bad, but the offerings are extremely limited and the quality is hit and miss. Since Amangani is about a half our from Jackson Hole, we were hoping to spend most of our evenings having dinner in their restaurant or in our rooms, but rather than looking forward to it, we instead sort of tolerated it. Everything we ordered also we quite rich and heavy, which is something that doesn't work at a property where its gets are generally active and spend most of their day touring Grand Teton or Jackson Hole. For the prices that they charge, amenities were pitiful, especially in the toiletries department. Only one of the two vanities had a toothbrush, shower cap and razer. And lotion wise, they only had body lotion... no face lotion (or face wash either, for that matter.) Outside of that, the only other amenity were cotton swabs. When I asked the GM about this, she said that's how they do things. This needs to change - it really gives off a cheap vibe to a property that is part of one of the top luxury hotel brands in the world. The only competitor to Aman is the Four Seasons Jackson Hole, which is 30 minutes away. Because of that, it really isn't a competitor - people who choose the FS appreciate its location at the base of the ski slopes as well as it being in town. Those who select Aman do so for its seclusion. The problem is, if you're going to be secluded, you have to nail the basics, including food. For Aman not to manage this is a letdown.
Worth a visit
Superb hotel with incredible service. Room and view were incredible. Highly recommend! A moose family had moved into the property so we were constantly able to see them at a safe distance. Our package included breakfast which was excellent. The hotel also provides a complimentary continental breakfast in the lobby. Pricey but worth it. Dinner was pricey but the view from the restaurant was amazing.
Service was good, dinner menu was oddly sweet-leaning in
Service was good, dinner menu was oddly sweet-leaning in many appetizer and entree dishes, but beautifully prepared. Gorgeous building and atmosphere was understated but nice. Restrooms needed more attending, especially considering our visits were early in the evenings. Lunch menu is excellent and lunch music, atmosphere, and views are lovely.

Your bid has been “matched” with a reservation. From the time a reservation has been located, the seller of the reservation must connect with moderator to give transfer information for reservation. If the seller;however, does NOT respond to reservation transfer, then your bid is reprocessed and returns to the first step, which is connecting your request to a reservation.

When it says working on bid, it means there are people looking to fill it.
