Brilliant, amazing, made better by the staff!!
Cocktails were out of this world. Had a very wild variety, all of which were amazing. The wonderful guy that served us was amazing. Knew what we wanted before we did (in the. Best way). If I had the personality and wherewithal in my 20’s I’d be as successful as we know he will be!! Can’t wait to bring our friends

We were here in December and this restaurant is definitely in my top 5 of all time. The food, staff, surroundings and ambience were all exquisite and this restaurant is truly memorable in more ways than one. We were looked after by Nandi, Mireia and Nina for the bulk of our meal and the service was excellent and it was so wonderful being able to have a chat and get to know them. I truly can not express how mind bogglingly awesome this place is and it was wonderful being guided to see the experimental kitchen and even getting to meet Rasmus himself! Thanks to everyone at the alchemist who made our evening so memorable it was truly spectacular from start to finish! I don’t want to ruin it for people who are booked to visit but I can guarantee you will not be disappointed and it is impossible to not have fun here! There are so many elements to this place like layers of an onion, and everything is planned with precision and flair.
Be the first to ReplyDifferently surprising!
Aware of this restaurant reputation, but intentionally avoided reading up in advance, I was ready for the complete surprise. A true multisensory experience - from start to finish . Unexpected was the humour and honesty of most of the dishes all paired with a fantastic cinematic effect. Top experience,

WOW what a night. 8 hours with a full treat, incredible set-up, food, wine, art, chefs and hosts. A special thank to Liza and all staff for taking care of us, including Chef R. This night will stay crafted in HCA paper cuts, marble, reflections, copper, digital space journeys and the human mind! THANKS - this was for me mind blowing :)

It’s incredible and words can’t really do it justice. The food is great, the service is perfect and the whole experience is unforgettable.
Be the first to ReplyWorlds best restaurant
Perhaps the best restaurant in the world. This is not only about absolute world class food but also about a statement and an emotional tour through the different rooms in Alchemist.
Be the first to Replybest experience I ever had - impeccable service
Cannot stress hard enough how much I loved this. It was like traveling to outer space or entering a portal to another world. The service was amazing, both prior to our visit (from the people in the office) and during, from the kitchen and waiters. Our server was very attentive and told us a lot about the wines, which were very good. Will try to book again and come back <3 hope to take the kids here too when they're old enough to appreciate it. My partner has some pictures that I will try to upload later.

An experience extraordinary. And in every way. Of course the food is very special but so is everything else. If you are into this kind of gastronomy it’s a must try.
Be the first to ReplyBest restaurant of the world
The experience is balanced for everyone. The message that Rasmus wanna share is so strong, no one can describe it cuz you have to feel it.
Be the first to ReplyWorth it
This place is ridiculous because of the experience and how they pair the food with the wine and the graphics in the dome and the sound. I’ve definitely had better tasting food, but never in this context. Highly recommended.

We were lucky to get some last minute reservations, and lucky to be able to afford them… Visiting Alchemist is certainly a privilege for the few; both as it is nearly impossible to get a reservation, and as it costs in the range of a family holiday in Spain. That’s why I was a bit surprised when we were asked upon arrival if we would like a cocktail (which was clearly not included in the price…)? I would very strongly prefer to pay just that little bit more up front, and the not be reminded more about money on such an extraordinary evening!! I know that you must chose if you would like wine, which wine, which wine pariring package etc – that is of course unavoidable; but apart from that, I highly recommend Alchemist to provide an ‘all inclusive’ experience. A small additional hiccup is that you cannot chose ½ a wine menu. We are actually many who would like just a sip of the wine for the experience, but who do not tolerate a whole wine menu. If you chose ½ wine menu, you must pay 50% more, I cannot understand why? The rest is history - the food, the show etc. You could argue that at times the symbolism is just too thick at Alchemist. I would like to make another point about the costs, as the story repeated itself later. We had coffee and tea and had to pay extra for that as well. I wanted to taste the tea that my son got, as I thought there was more in the teapot; however, an extra 100 DKK was added to the bill. That is, indeed, a drop in the sea; but the waiter should have told us, and it was just not nice. I was not very impressed by our southern Italian female waiter. Other personnel that we met were highly professional, and it was of course a privilege to chat with Chef Rasmus Munk himself on the occasions where he showed up at our table Hats off for Alchemist, but I would prefer to pay just a little more up front, and then be confronted with as few as possible additional costs during the evening.
Be the first to ReplyA meal for all senses
Why does this place not have 3 Michelin stars? I really do not know... because, in my life as a traveler and food aficionado, I have never experienced a meal with all senses. Starting from the walk-in experience, discovering oneself, then being led to the bar area where one can watch the chefs prepare the first bites of the evening paired with intricate cocktails. Yup, I was able to stomach the ball of smoke in one bite. The omelette, as well as the Catalan cheese sandwich were so well masked as something else, that they left me just wondering what would follow. The whole meal/experience is self paced and I love it. I tend to be fast at times and slow at others. No rushing at all here. The iPad with the drink menu app was simply wow; so was the wine cellar. Moving on to the dining room, which has a huge domed room with projections. The space is gorgeous, elegant, simple. Lighting is perfect and individualized. So is the server and experience all evening. Only have I experienced this attention to detail at Eleven Madison Park before. The whole meal had a story and raised awareness for how wasteful humanity is. Did this bother me? No, it helped me better appreciate my food and, more important, the science and art needed to make the "weird cuts" of meat palatable and delicious. Wine pairing was perfect and provided the right mood for the ball pit (where I could have napped for 30 mins, to be honest). Afterwards some drinks in the bar and off we went. ... I will come back. Promise.
Be the first to ReplyThe world's best Restaurant
Even in its early days one of the most ambitious Restaurants ever created I've probably told my 2017 Alchemist story a hundred times and I'll probably tell it at least as many more - a showing of hospitality quite like any other. Already impressed by my visit to Chef Rasmus Munk’s original Restaurant it was an absolute privilege to sit down in the new concept and experience what is truly "an experience" - visual, aural, gastronomy, sociology, ecology, technology and even anthropology. From the immense door to an opening “Impression” featuring a solo violinist playing “Vi sålde våra hemman” every aspect of Alchemist is intended to overwhelm the senses, and across five “Acts” in an equal number of hours Rasmus’ team never ceases to impress in catering to each guest’s every need. Pointless to describe course-for-course, the journey occurring as guests move from room to room and idea to idea, early bites take place in front of a test kitchen where Champagne finds itself matched to Candy Floss Dumplings and “The Perfect Omelet” before traversing the 90,000 bottle Wine cellar to a planetarium called The Dome. Often using Food as a vehicle, the overhead projection of polluted oceans coming to life with a jaw-dropping dish of Cod topped in crispy translucent Bouillon, consider also the idea of food waste in the form of Brain, Lung or Flesh from a Crab beyond the Legs. Never lacking for technique, cryo-freezing and emulsification joining forces with ideas such as growing Mycelium on agar or dry-aging game in wax, custom service-ware makes many dishes more titillating including Orwell’s “1984” Eye or the silicon Tongue Kiss. Gazed down upon by caged Birds while eating a deboned Thigh titled “Burnout Chicken,” shortly after lights went dark for “Cheers” featuring edible Bioluminescence that has generated a scientific paper, sweets begin with Force of Nature featuring Colostrum, Unpasteurized Honey and Formic Acid before picturesque “Andy Warhol” and Pig’s Blood Ganache complete with a QR Code to become a Blood Donor. Making a statement about the abusive nature of child labor with “Guilty Pleasure” before guests enter the Pink Room, an impression best left as a surprise, it is after visiting another kitchen that guests end up in the Balcony with their thoughts and three more bites including Ants in “Amber” and a 3D Printed Tarte Tatin. About those thoughts? Calling Alchemist the most forward thinking restaurant in the world right now is easy. But it's more than that. It is science and culture and art and 100+ people working together to create something extraordinary. It succeeds in its vision. It publishes scientific papers. It shows that big dreams can come true and that those dreams, even using Food as a medium, can make a difference.
Be the first to ReplyÇa c’est ne pas un restaurant deux étoiles, pas du tout!
We went to the restaurant expecting something sensational, but we were very disappointed. We had booked the super expensive "sommelier table" and had excepted something exceptional. When entering we were served a champagne that was completely flat, probably from whatever was left from last night or perhaps the night before that. Then the expensive wine pairing did not seem expensive at all, perhaps because we had a booking just before they closed before the summer holidays and did not want to open any expensive wines just for us or simply because it is never anything special - we do not know but we did not get any discount in the end so it is probably the standard cheap wines you will get. The dishes looked great, but without any interesting taste, just very bland. We do not like to lick on a plastic tongue that thousands of previous guests have licked on before us, especially when it was tasteless. When it came to service it is annoying to hear about "sustainability" and "holistic" when almost every dish was presented, just very annoying. If they really want to be holistic and sustainable they should probably close the restaurant. The head chef, Rasmus Munk was pleasant when he presented one or two dishes of the dishes, but the rest of the time we were left an American women who over and over again became aggressive when we asked something about the food. No, this is not by any means a two star restaurant. Michelin you have to reevaluate this: Alchemist is nowhere near Noma or Geranium or AOC.
Be the first to ReplyAlmost totally immersive
Alchemist delivers impressions that lasts. Political and environmental alike the restaurant has something to say. With careful attention to detail Alchemist impresses dish (impression) after impression, room after room, with great variety and care. The dome is an amazing dining partner, mood setter and commentator. The staff was kind, attentive and acted with great precision and care. The experience was almost immersive but for the first part. A weird feeling of awkward uncertainty presented itself when the waiter asked us if we wanted to start with a cocktail. Yes it sounds horrendous, but bear with me: In an experience as curated and well thought of as this, I’d prefer Alchemist to design the experience on my behalf and skip this seemingly unnecessary step, perhaps bring a card with suggestions that will amplify the first impressions’ taste instead of competing with them. Not all cocktails fitted the first otherwise impressive impressions, and we felt awkward making decisions we didn’t know the scope of. If I’d known the cocktail would interfere with the tastes of the first five or so impressions, I would have chosen plain water and enjoyed the incredible creations coming from the kitchen.

First time here and what a pleasant surprise. After you get the through the huge front door, the experience start with around 50 "experiences". There was live performance, food and visual impressions, that made the evening an interesting experience. It is hard to tell in a few words, it must be tried. A unique holistic experience. Food, service, location - everything was an experience.

A-M-A-Z-I-N-G experience and so much more than a restaurant. The is an experience for all senses. The rooms, the waiters, the food, the visual impressions, the artistic impressions and the messages Rasmus is trying to get through. I don't think I ever had an experience that so completely played to all senses. I am not going to write much about it as I do not want to spoil it for any one. If you get the chance do go!

I’ve been to noma, eleven Madison, el celler, mirazur and this has been the most amazing meal by far. Words can’t express how good it is.

15 years ago after a long lunch at the fat duck I asked my self what there is left to experience?
Thank good to our talented chefs, sommeliers, maitre d's etc. evolution has progressed and so many things have improved.
Two weeks ago I had the delight to visit Alchemist.
Well, one could just bluntly say that it is a show, it's easy to leverage media etc. But just lets dissect the experience.
Food: What about the food? The food is spectacular in every aspect. The precision, the quality, the taste. Of all impressions everything tasted great. Nothing was even just "mediocre". The span from pretty safe bets as beluga caviar, scallops, dove etc but also using mycelium, lambs lunge etc is crazy and would on a normal day been skeptical but it was magical. The textures, the taste, the quality. Everything is impeccable.
Wine: there are several wine and beverage pairings and we took the essential and amplified pairings and the sommelier has made a great job. Highly different but all very good. The servings are generous and the waiter will also ensure proper temperature by not serving all at once.
Service: Well you off course expect that the service is impeccable at a 2 star restaurant. But Alchemist takes this to the next level. The crew is large at but it is tight and it is like a flow. They are extremely attentive to everything. Empty glass, dropped napkin, need for water anything. Whatever your need is it will be attended to, often before you've realized it. It feels like a choreographed ballet company without a solo star, everyone plays their part and the machinery seems flawless. I can't recall any restaurant performing at thes level and at the same time feel personal, cozy and not intrusive.
The venue: Well the location is special, but the interior. The door, the lounge which is soothing, calm and intimate but actually more serves the purpose of preparing you for the dome.
I have decided to not post any pictures, this has to be experienced. The dome takes cuisine to the next level. Never has a 6 hour service felt this short, never has taste been enhanced so much, never has a restaurant also been able to convey a message as strongly. The pink room? Well. Didn't expect it, didn't expect to do what I did in there :) The lounge. An exquisite place to wind down. To debrief the impressions. To process the experience.
I feel like after the lunch at the fat duck, what on earth is left to experience?
I honestly don't know. I can't imagine what it would be. But the coming years will be focus on comfort food and BBQ at home. Alchemist changed everything, and I'm happy to have had the experience.
Impressive and provocative
It’s been years since I have been so floored at a restaurant- but calling the Alchemist a “restaurant” doesn’t quite do it justice. From the minute you walk in, you are enveloped within an experience unlike any other. I don’t want to put too much details as the idea is to go and be utterly surprised. And boy was I surprised. It’s exceptional- the food, the vibe, it’s edgy and daring - pushes you to the limit and gives you a lot of food for thought. I have been to places around the world that are trying to create “experiences” that are multi sensory but the Alchemist wins by a long stretch! Spectacular….
The service was absolutely top notch - our server Mireia basically could rattle off what was in a dish as if she was kitchen staff - something I found amazing given that most 3 Michelin restaurants don’t necessarily have the proper training for their staff to that level where kitchen and service blur. The Alchemist himself - Rasmus Munk- was on hand throughout the whole service - mingling and with his staff working the floor. He is an incredible professional and when you think he is only 30 years old it blows your mind even more! Bravo
If you can get a reservation I strongly advise you get there! What an unforgettable night!
Challening but wow
Challening ‘restaurant’ visit and what a spectacle. Had been looking forward to our visit to this famous place. And what an experience it was. Like a theater show and lots Of impressions - both food and decor/interiour.
We are glad we had the chance to have this experience. It has a wow-factor. Me aware that they do use ingrediens that some might find challenging or even dislike.
Amazing. Beyond words.

Alchemist is like no other restaurant, it’s more of a happening for all senses. It’s provocative, fun and wonderful, as well as serving amazing food and with a delightful, personal and utterly professional service. We celebrated our 20th wedding anniversary here yesterday and couldn’t be happier for the wonderful evening.
The evening was divided into several different rooms in the restaurant, and in different acts and scenes. All in all, there were about 40 dishes and additional experiences such as a violin player mini concert, dancing in the pink room and the different video impressions in the doom.
The food was somewhat provocative, but most of all it was fun and unexpected, but always with the most respect for the taste, as well as for the environment. All dishes were delightful even though some of the presentation made you think a little more than usual… We also really want to mention the service, that was absolutely top notch. So personal and friendly, professional and knowledgeable in every detail, and flexible with wines and switching desserts to cheese to give us the very best experience from our personal preferences. It was also so appreciated that Rasmus Munk himself presented several of the dishes and came to chat after the final serving.
Thank you for an evening we will never forget!
Unbelievable experience
Well. The less you know the better. Be prepared to be amazed. It’s extremely difficult to get a table but if you are lucky and have the spare 3500 DKK for dinner it’s an absolute must for a foodie. No wonder they are voted as the best restaurant in Europe.
