Fares amongst one of the best Michelin rated restaurants
Fares amongst one of the best Michelin rated restaurants that I've gone to.Ambiance is cozy and subdued.Service is attentive, but not over bearing.Food is outstanding in presentation and taste. I don't want to give away too much as the meal is a story.I highly recommend.
Be the first to ReplyWe had a reservation for two here.
When we arrived they told us that we were not booked, there was some kind of confusion and we were freaking out but just when we were thinking on a plan b (they were not making us any space in their tables) someone cancelled their reservation so we took it as a sign (a part of us wanted to leave, we did not feel welcomed at all). Once we had our table, we had a feast! Each course was better than the last one, I am not going to be a spoiler (if I wanted to tell you I couldn't), but take a look at my pics, you can have an idea of how great it was. Prices were expected for the kind of dinner we had.
Be the first to ReplyWhat a great place.
The restaurant was quite delicious and reasonably priced. The amuse were fun and tasty, especially the labne. The only dish I didn't love was the halumi amuse. Very friendly staff and chefs. The chef came out a few times. It was inventive and tasted good. Not everything was amazing but enjoyed it a lot.
Be the first to ReplyFantastic place with a so creative chef.
He proposes a gastronomic food with typical French products with a twist of Lebanese ingredients and presentation. Nice barbue, caille, baked rigatoni with solides, .... Deserts are fantastic as well : cake with "fraises des bois" for instance. The chef is spending time to discuss with clients and explain his passion for cooking. Already a one star Michelin place with potential to go higher !
Be the first to ReplyOur last meal on this trip to Paris, and our New Year's Eve
Our last meal on this trip to Paris, and our New Year's Eve dinner was at Alan Geaam in the 16th Arrondissement. After a ridiculously long walk, due to Google maps directing us on a route that took us through Tajikistan on our way from the 7th to the 16th, we walked into a tiny, maybe seven tables, subdued and elegant gray hued dining room. Service and cordiality were on par with any Michelin starred restaurant. The multi course menu was well worth the 160 Euro outlay, and every dish was artistic and wonderful. It's difficult to judge any kitchen on a night such as New Year's Eve, but in our ranking of restaurants on this Parisian sojourn, Alan Geaam would come in third, after La Condesa with Virtus taking first place. Our flight leaves in five hours and so I say arrivederci. Oops, I guess that's Roma. Au revoir Paris. Now I need a digestive.
