Great selection but issues with wine care and service. Bought a 30+ year old Barolo that I opened hours later to find it went bad, with a brown appearance and vinegar taste (understandable that a wine that old could go bad). I returned the next day with the bottle to ask for a refund/exchange. Riccardo tasted it and claimed there was nothing wrong with the wine refusing any reimbursement. The telling part is that the bottle was left open until I corked it to return to the store. A wine that old will go bad in a couple of hours so it certainly was bad by the time he tasted it, yet he claimed it was “perfect”. I'd understand a no refund policy, but not a blatant lie. Great selection but problems storing and serving the wine. I purchased a Barolo over 30 years old which, when opened a few hours later, turned out to be deteriorated, with a brown color and a vinegary taste (it is understandable that a wine of that age can deteriorate). The next day I returned with the bottle to request a refund or exchange. Riccardo tasted it and claimed the wine was in perfect condition, refusing any refund. It's worth noting that the bottle remained open until I closed it again to take it back to the store. A wine of that age deteriorates within hours if left open, so it was definitely compromised when he tasted it, but he insisted it was “perfect.” I would understand a no refund policy, but not a blatant lie.
