This restaurant had a charming ambiance and I was eager to try their 21-day dry aged bison ribeye. Unfortunately, it was sold out when I arrived, so I opted for the grass-fed ribeye which was tasty. However, my children ordered from the kids menu - chicken breast with vegetables this was a disappointment as both the chicken and the carrots were burnt to a crisp. Although the waiter mentioned this was the norm, my kids refused to eat it. The table beside us ordered the wagyu hot stone, but when they placed the meat on the stone, it immediately produced a large amount of smoke which filled the room instantly causing the table behind us to start coughing. To our surprise, the manager was reluctant to acknowledge the issue, citing that they sold the hot stone dish all day without complaints. Eventually, the manager did open the windows to let fresh air in, but this experience overall was not enjoyable.

Food was mediocre- the chicken dish was over cooked and mushrooms were cooked to mush - bone in bison ribeye medium rare - over cooked and tough for $115 . We made a reservation with a $50 hold per person on our CC and the place was 1/4 empty - service was satisfactory but nothing great - we arrived to kids crying and causing a fuss - entire thing felt like a rip off
Very good food and service. We have a new favorite in Vail.
The four of us had a very good dining experience at the Slope Room. The food was very good, the service was very professional and unlike some other Vail restaurants, we did not feel rushed. We wanted to try some new type of wine and the sommelier helped us select a wonderful Spanish wine from Ribera Sacra.

It's rare that I give 5 stars across the board, almost never but hey, Slope Room hit on all cylinders. Walter Scott 2020 Pinot was excellent as recommended by our server. The chicken was superb, cooked to perfection with some nice gnocchi and sauce. Others at our table had the short ribs and love it. I had a Simple Salad that was lightly dressed and super fresh greens. My wife had the beet salad which had amazing flavor. The room's ambience was warm, inviting and modern country. The service was excellent so year...5 stars it is! Nice job and strong recommend!
Maddening overpriced thievery
We just stoned here with some friends who live in the area. This was their recommendation so my disappointment did not get voiced to the management at the time, over concern of embarrassing our friends I ordered their “ Specialty cut“ 14oz ribeye, for $72. I asked the server if it could be prepared Pittsburgh medium rare and I was assured that it could be. Well. It was not Pittsburgh…t was well (well) past medium rare- not even ANY pink visible - and, worst of all, it was a poor quality piece of meat. The type I expect in the regular rack at the supermarket, or worse something from one of the fast casual places like Outback or Lone Star. Definitely not a $70 piece of meat, especially considering there were no accompaniments at all. Just an over cooked tough piece of unpleasantness. My wife got their Alaskan cod. A fairly standard and unimaginative me so card that has been done a zillion times before, but it’s generally pretty good. This was adequate as well. However for $56 I think we should’ve expected a larger piece of fish. This was (at the very most) a 4 ounce portion of meat. This is really just disgraceful. Spending this kind of money is not a problem for us. But when we do, we are expecting the meal to be at least above average. A $72 steak should actually be exceptional. Not just entirely disappointing. Serving a poor quality cut and then charging a premium Steakhouse price is just taking advantage of your patrons, and laughing at them. So if you want to be taken advantage of, and made a fool of, then by all means get a reservation and dine here

It's a really nice place for a fancy dinner and they do a good job of accommodating different group sizes. We were 13 of us in our group and they had made really nice arrangements to get us a good size table where we could all sit comfortably. The food wasn't all that and their servings are rather small. We ordered a few appetizers and an entree for each person and yet everyone was hungry. They are also very pricey so make sure to see their menu ahead of time. The biggest disappointment was that they didn't have their filet mignon, which is what most of us were looking forward to order. Their lightings aren't the greatest to take family pics. The hostess in the front was very friendly, however, our server didn't seem very interested to have much of a conversation.
Front of House Poor
Arrived to our booking 5 minutes early. Front of house not ready for us and said to have a drink at the bar. Not possible as the bar area was full as other dinners we're eating at the bar. So disorganised. Then waited in a foyer to be seated 20 later than booked. Food and service ok however lots of places to eat in vail that are much better
Not really sure what type of restaurant it is!
Part of website talks about organic farm to table; some talks about steak house; after eating there - not really sure what it is... If it was "farm to table" they never highlighted any of that...the steak menu is disappointing. Had the rib eye's - a bit chewy. Wine menu is over priced... I wouldn't go back. And on top of it - the food wasn't anything "special"

Me and my family had a very pleasant experience at Slope Room Vail. As we walk in, we are met with a homey and very aesthetic scenery. Our waiter was very attentive, polite, and fun to chat with. We ordered the Gulf White Shrimp and Sourdough Naan as appetizer, which was delicious. Sourdough in the shrimp appetizer was a little soggy, but that was to be expected. Sourdough Naan with the stracciatella was absolutely delicious, could've used a little less salt. The naan was crunchy flavorful, but still chewy like proper bread. Still amazing. I ordered the blue corn tamale, which was delicious. It was a light dish, however, and I wish there was more to it. My family ordered the cook's venture chicken, mountain view pork chop, and king salmon. Everything was delicious, but everyone wished there was some kind of grain or starch that came with the dishes to make the meal more fulfilling. We finished with a Baked Alaska, which was absolutely delicious with silky chocolate ice cream. Overall, a very beautiful place with amazing food.

We went to the Slope Room, a farm-to-Table establishment on a Monday night. We enjoyed their Short Ribs and Chicken breast entrees. They had a wide variety of wines, local craft brews and specialty drinks available. The choices for sides were a la carte, and we chose the gnocchi with cheese to add to our meal. The dinner servings were adequate in size, but I was interested in capping it off with a dessert. Unfortunately, there was only four items to select from and one choice was ice cream. I give them overall 4 stars.

I dined here to celebrate a birthday during a vacation in Vail. Food and drinks were amazing, the service was great, and ambiance was relaxed. We ordered tapas style since we were a table of 8 and wanted to try a little of everything. Every dish was excellent. Also, I had the best cup of Americano there - it's a must try!!

Wonderful spot for casual drinks after skiing or a nice dinner with friends and family. Try to sit by the fireplace if possible. Large wrap around bar that can accommodate big groups. Amazing wait staff who make great drinks and seem to genuinely enjoy where they work.

We popped into the slope room to have a quick bite after a long day of travel and it did not disappoint! We ordered a few of the smaller plates and shared because it was too hard to decide on what to order. Josh was an amazing server with lots of suggestions for us!! We order the sizzling wagu beef which you cook yourself on a hot stone at the table, garlic shrimp served on sourdough, crispy Brussels with charred lemon, and a sunflower kale Cesar salad. They even own their own coffee field in Ethiopia where they grow their own beans and then roast them locally in CO! Overall fantastic experience and we'll be back when visiting Vail.
Excellent food, excellent service, excellent ambiance.
It's astonishing to me that this restaurant isn't the top rated in vail. Went multiple times during our visit...couldn't get enough of the short rib and gnocci Mac and cheese. The chef deserves a Michelin star. Thank you for an amazing dinner and we'll be back during our next vail visit.

Came here for a celebrating dinner with my wife and my parents and we were not disappointed. Service was great and professional. Tasting menu allowed all of us to try a bunch of stuff.
Enjoyed this but not quite perfect
First time at this new (for me) restaurant. Mostly enjoyed the place. Service was good and the food was excellent. So why not 5 stars. The soup was warm not hot and the mash was also warm not hot. 5 stars has to have it all really. Would I come back - absolutely. I loved the pork chop. It was excellent.

This restaurant was recommended as one of the best in the Vail area and thus we went there to celebrate our engagement. We were seated in a secluded area which was really nice and intimate for the occasion! We started with the Smoke Jumper and a glass of the Riesling. The Riesling was very good, but the Smoke Jumper wasn't, it was just very smoky and tasted primarily of Campari, and like it was missing all the other ingredients. We then ordered the sourdough naan and wagyu hot stone for appetizers. Unfortunately, they were out of the sourdough naan, so we did not get to enjoy that, but the wagyu hot stone was phenomenal! Oh my gosh it was absolutely delicious. 100% recommend getting it! For our entrees, we ordered the 24 hour beef short rib and the center cut filet mignon with mashed Yukons and crispy Brussels sprouts as sides. The short rib and the steak were both cooked perfectly and delicious. And the Brussels sprouts were the best I've ever had, the glaze was impeccable. The "mashed Yukons" however, were a huge let down, because first of all, they weren't mashed at all, they were fries, and second of all, they were SO over seasoned. I'm not sure if we just don't know what mashed Yukons are, but when I read that, I assumed that meant mashed potatoes, not fries. Despite this and the icky drink, the other things totally outweighed those and thus the 5 stars.
Amazing experience
Amazing atmosphere and food. We had the meat on the stone for appetizer and it wad outstanding. Entrées also delicious. It gets busy in ski season so make sure to make reservations up front.
Disappointed
Ordered the filet cooked medium and it came out medium-well. They brought me filet cooked to the proper temperature and it was still tough and Chewy. Very disappointing....don't order the filet!

Great all around. All staff worked well together. Very nice place. Isabell’s first night serving and did a great job. Definitely be back
Tasteless
I don’t get this place. I have eaten at fine restaurants all over the country and this place does not live up to the hype and price. The wine list is ridiculous. Most restaurants have at least a few good wines for $100 but not here. The service was not great but I don’t expect good service anymore. I would pass on this place.

Step-by-Step Process
1.) Setting a Reward (Bid)
* AppointmentTrader uses historical data to recommend a reasonable reward amount for securing a reservation - let's say $100.
* Peter really wants to go, so he increases the bid (or reward) to $200.
* At this stage, the reservation does not exist yet.
2.) A Community User Picks Up the Bid
* PerceptiveWash44, an experienced AT user, has a strong track record of successfully securing reservations and low refund requests, they receive a notification about Peter's bid.
* PerceptiveWash44 picks up the bid, meaning they will now work on securing the reservation.
* Peter can now talk to PerceptiveWash44 for any questions Peter may have as PerceptiveWash44 user fills the bid.
3.) Finding the Reservation
* PerceptiveWash44 now uses their connections at Slope Room Vail to secure the table.
* If they successfully get the 6 PM table for four, Peter receives a confirmation that the reservation has been secured.
* If PerceptiveWash44 fails to secure the reservation, the bid is returned to the pool so another user can try.
4.) Payment & Protection
* Once the reservation is secured, PerceptiveWash44 receives the $200 reward which is credited to PerceptiveWash44's AT balance, where users manage their own funds and can withdraw via available payout options such as bank transfer, PayPal, or Zelle.
* Peter can now enjoy the dinner with his friends at Slope Room Vail!
* As with all transactions on AT, disputes and no-show fees are handled through the platform's community-driven resolution system. Users with a strong track record are incentivized to fulfill bids successfully, and community members can report issues to maintain trust in the marketplace.
