The pizza was excellent and the service was ok.
The appetizers were very average, at best. Had to send a plate of wings back, twice, because they still had feathers on them (that was a new one)! Cocktails were fair, but expensive.
Good food and atmosphere
Good food and atmosphere, return trip with our return to New jersey, went on an off time so were able to get a parking spot and walk right in and get seated, parking can be tricky at peak times, we sat in the upstairs area, open and a covered area that looks out over the water, beautiful view and food and service is usually very good, there was a bachelorette party and it was deafening, not the restaurants fault, we were originally sat right by the bar but asked to move and they gladly put us as far away a as they could, which was great until no service for 1/2 hour, we tracked down a waitress and after some time she came back to take our order, apparently our waitress wasn't due in for a 1/2 hour, so she took our order, she was very efficient and pretty mush running the show - excellent job. we had the Jersey deviled eggs - says they were hot which I do not like they were delicious and not hot at all so I was happy about that, we had the cheeseburger and chips - reported very good huge burger, Margarita and the Pearc and Stracciatella pies - thin crust and nice char nice chewy bite, the prosciutto could have been cooked a little more to make it crunchy but overall very good
Loved the vibe here on the deck at sunset! Enjoyed the DJ.
Had a beer while waiting for a table. Loved What we got- scallops, fried artichokes, and pork disco fries. Service was good too!
Delicious food.
The seasoning on the fries and wings is quite delicious. But prepare to have garlic breath, worth it. The food came out very quickly. However, they rarely cleared a dish until the end of the meal. The waitstaff is attentive and friendly. The bathrooms - a shock at the condition you can find them in. For such a nice establishment, I would expect the bathrooms to be cleaner.

After hearing so much about this restaurant, I'm glad I finally was able to check it out on my visit to LBI. I also completely understand the hype. The restaurant is absolutely huge - with a deck upstairs with bay-side views and a very large first-level main room where my friends and I were seated. It was very crowded when we arrived at 7pm on a Saturday, so we were nestled away at a table next to a bustling bar. We started the evening off with 6 oysters on the half shell, which were paired with some tartar sauce and lemon. They were fresh and absolutely delicious - a perfect appetizer to share with a group. For our meals, we ordered lobster rolls and a fried chicken sandwich. The lobster roll was good (but doesn't beat a New England lobster roll), and the fried chicken sandwich was very fresh and filling. The side of fries (which we had to substitute for an extra cost) were pretty standard in terms of taste, but the portions were substantial. Overall, I was pretty happy with the dining experience and overall atmosphere of this bustling Beach Haven restaurant.

Bartender lost his cool when I tried to get his attention. My husband yelled barkeep, no response. We waited to get drinks and food, but he was too busy for us busy talking to his friends. Luke is short tempered and more interested in socializing with the friends he knows. Started yelling at me for saying yo. No tip for you!

This has been my favorite bar by far and I have been a loyal customer all summer long. Last night unfortunately I had a terrible experience. I arrived with my best friend and sister. Two out of three of our IDs we're questioned and we were pulled aside. Both our real, valid form of personal identification. After multiple staff member coming over, shining flash lights, we were told the cops would be involved and had no problem with this as we ubered 30 mins to our fav bar for a fun night out with our own, valid licenses. We waited a while only for them to tell us that the ID is real but they feel like it didn't look like her due to her hair being a different color LOL. You seriously could not make this up. After telling them that she has gotten highlights since and unfortunately when the picture was taken she had the flu, the staff got very nasty with all of us. They were asking for another form of ID and the only thing we could provide with a school ID on a valid school website (didn't think we would need to bring a school ID to the bar). A rude bald guy was being being extremely out of line with three young girls. He completely lacked empathy and was not understanding that we were aggravated and upset due to the fact that we spent $50 to Uber 30 mins to a bar we were all at two weeks prior with no issues. All of age with valid IDs. They did not allow our friend in so none of the rest of us went in either and we had to Uber right back 30 mins home. Complete bust for no reason. I really have loved this place and have been so many weekend this summer and we thought it was our new spot. Shame they are turning away valid business, extremely disappointed and was handled so poorly. Unless something changes, we will not be back. It is fun but make sure your license has not been renewed online so that you can get an updated photo or you might experience the same thing. Security/ bouncers were aggressive, rude and threatening when nothing wrong had been done.

I took my husband and my daughter to lunch there on Thursday . We were seated and no one came to the table to take our order . People who came in after us were being waited on . After 15 minutes my husband asked the hostess nicely if they could send someone over . A waitress came to the table with an attitude which I tried to ignore but you could tell she was pissed off she had to wait on us. Once we gave her our drink order she said they were out of the beer we wanted - Stella beer. This was 1:00 in the afternoon out of beer already . We ignored that and ordered something else . Then she asked my 24 year old daughter for her ID . No problem my daughter provided it. The waitress said she had to take the ID in the back which was unusual but still we were going along trying to have a nice lunch. A short time later a Manager came out and said my daughters ID was fake and he was going to call the police . That was enough for us we got up to leave this was ridiculous . We were having a family lunch. The manager followed us out and said based on our reaction we know it's fake . OMG the Mgr was worst than the waitress and so rude. There is no excuse for this behavior . This place needs a staff over haul from management on down . DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY HERE AT THIS RESTAURANT there are so many nice restaurants in LBI but this is not one of them . This place is a zero and not even on the scale !!!! I hope the owner reads these reviews to make him aware of the people he has running his business ( or the people he has running his business into the ground) .
Bird Poop and Betty
Overpriced and Snotty. Food was good but not enough for what you pay for, waitress was great, but the attitude at the front desk was unforgivable. We were given a table for a party of 7 that had a view of the cars in the parking garage. When asked in a courteous manner if we could have a better table we were told absolutely not and they suggested we "cancel our reservation, pay the cancellation fee ($25 per person) and than we will change your table" I am an old LBIer and have know the Acme hotel, I suggest it should be renamed" Bird Poop and Betty. Go somewhere else.
Waited 15 minutes, no one even acknowledged us.
We had to finally approach the hostess to ask if someone was coming to our table. Staff was unfriendly, manager was very immature. Take this restaurant off your list, there are many more on this island that will give you quality service and great food. This is not the one.

Nice views
Nice views and bar scene. In my opinion the food is not on par with the other restaurants with the same owners. It is good for drinks and a quick bite.
Overall average experience.
Food wasn't the best. We started with the fried artichokes with crab meat. The portion size is massive, and the crab was really good. Kind of confusing because the artichoke isn't fried but either way it was ok. The Pork Milanese was good, but pretty thick. Good scene for dinner with a fun crew, we sat near the DJ and the music was a lot of fun.

As a single was seated immediately. Service was fast and efficient. Meal was great and had a local beer recommended by server. Too hot 🔥 for upstairs dining missed beautiful sunset.
Not worth it
I'm extremely disappointed. Made reservations to eat here with my family. Made suggestions to eat upstairs. The day before I get a message that if I cancel, I will get charged $25 per person. Then, 30 minutes before my reservation, I got a message that if I wanted to be seated upstairs, I would get charged $25 extra per person. The kicker is that I get another message telling me that I will only be seated inside or undercover. No where was that stated anywhere when the reservations were made. When we placed our starters, all the starters came at different times. I've never been to a restaurant that does that. Horrible! There are too many other restaurants that are great on this island without any hidden tricks. Will not be back. So disappointed 😞
The worst...
The worst dining experience we have had in years, maybe ever. Surly staff. Mediocre food. Dishes arrived at the table in a sequence that included some folks getting main courses before others had even seen apps, while other folks got their apps at the end of the meal, like they were a dessert course. If you are into being treated badly and leaving unhappy, this is the place for you. Otherwise, you might want to avoid.
A new go-to restaurant for us on LBI
We ended up here only because where we had planned to go could not accommodate our group. And, we were thrilled with it. Service by Sam was perfect. Purple rain cocktail was great fun. The octopus appetizer was stupendous; with gigantic white beans, chilled and grilled octopus in small pieces with a slightly spicy sauce. Pork Milanese was huge. Veal chop was perfectly cooked. Fried scallops and calamari were okay. We enjoyed it so much it is now on our to-do list for LBI restaurants.
Management willing to spread COVID to customers rather than waive cancellation fee
Had a reservation tonight but had to cancel due to covid in the household. The hostess and manager said that they have to charge us $25 per person for last minute cancellation. Given the circumstances, I would think they would be accommodating but they weren’t. They said they can downsize my party, but obviously we are all exposed to the person in the house with covid. I mentioned that and they didn’t seem to care if we came under those circumstances- clearly not caring about the rest of their clientele and the safety of their staff and clients. Obviously I will not be showing up, because I’m a human being and wouldn’t want to spread covid but management did not care if I did.. I will also have to fight the $100 cancellation fee through my credit card. Ridiculous.

Wonderful! My parents are visiting and we have wanted to go to Nobu Malibu for years. I tried getting a reservation myself but it was next to impossible. So glad I was able to buy a reservation on appointment trader for a decent price!

Fabulous Lunch
I was veeeeeerry skeptical that this would work, particularly at a restaurant as hard to get into as Nobu Malibu, and it was perfect! We had lunch outside on the patio and it was fabulous!

Ok at this point I've attended a reservation purchased on AT by a friend and sold a reservation personally. Both worked pretty smoothly, nothing sketchy about it. A few areas for improvement including a way to more directly communicate between buyers and sellers, but the app always seems to be in development. AT customer support is really(!) responsive and helpful too if you have questions!

As a seller, I like the fact i have the ability now to transfer money out of my AT account and into a bank account. Makes getting the money much easier then the process before.

Whose name will my reservation be under when I arrive at the venue?
It can be under your name or a name you choose! Some reservation offers already include the AppointmentTrader Transfer Service which will transfer the reservation in to your name. If its not included you can add it on after buying the reservation for a small fee. One thing on that though: As many reservations become available at last minute, taking a reservation in someone else name is quick and great for privacy. Most reservations on AT are listed with a virtual phone number, so all you need to do is present the phone number at the hostess stand and you are good to go!

If the seller;however, does NOT respond to reservation transfer, then your bid is reprocessed and returns to the first step, which is connecting your request to a reservation.

Hey @EvocativeFold67, welcome to appointmenttrader! Once the reservation is in your portfolio, you definitely own the timeslot, the review team would not have approved the trade if the reservation wasn't confirmed - so you are going :-) Judging from your post you bid today and are going tomorrow - don't worry as long as you initiated the name transfer, you are good - the transfer service has to work with the opening hours of the reservation team of the respective venue. You will likely see the transfer confirmation a couple hours before your reservation time.
Where do the Reservations on AppointmentTrader come from?
Mostly from people who don't need their reservations or appointments any longer. AT has no relationship with places listed and acts as a platform connecting buyers and sellers making sure that listed reservations are real and that privacy is not compromised when transacting.
What happens if my bid expires unanswered?
Hey @FluffyStar64, thanks for the question! When you place your bid the amount gets transferred in a deposit account, the second you either cancel your bid or a few minutes after the bid expires the funds are moved back into your main account from where you can refund it to your payment method or use for other transactions.
