Top Of Vancouver Revolving Restaurant Reviews from The Last Year
Great view, very good food and service
We ate lunch here on 5/8/24. The view is awesome and the fact the restaurant rotates means you get to see all of the city. It takes about an hour for a complete revolution. We rode and elevator up from the first floor to the area where you would buy tickets to the observation deck (not required if you are just going to the restaurant) where we switched elevators to get to the restaurant. The second elevator is glass and outside the building, it has a great view but not everyone in our elevator liked the openness of it. The food (fish and chips and burger and fries) was very good as was the service. Total for lunch (with a glass of wine and tip) was $115 CA . We would eat here again.
RIPPED OFF
This is not really against the restaurant, but the elevator trip to get there. You pay to take the elevator - approx. $15 pp (US). They stop at the floor below the restaurant and you get out to do a walk around view..cool. You can then take it to the next floor!...BUT - They DO NOT tell you that they are having a private party and the bar/restaurant is closed. We were only taking the elevator to look around and then have a drink at the bar. We had no intentions of spending the money for the ride up without going to enjoy a drink with the views. It was a Total Scam on us!! Can't get you $$ back either. They should have posted or told us that the restaurant on top was closed, incase you were going there!!
"Heights of disappointment: An evening at 'Top of Vancouver' you wouldn't want to repeat"
As someone who often deeply enjoys immersing herself in the local culinary scene with enthusiasm and a touch of irreverence, my recent visit to “Top of Vancouver” was an experience that left a lot to be desired, and not in a “leaving me wanting more” kind of way. ”. Our evening was to begin with sunset at seven, a plan that quickly fell apart when the hostess relegated us to an inside table at the bar. Promises of a wait of just 20 minutes turned into a 40-minute test of patience, while around ten tables by the window remained mysteriously vacant, taunting us with their unoccupied chairs. The welcome, if you can call it that, set the tone for the evening with a rather abrupt summary of the rules: one main course per person, no sharing (God forbid the communal joy of breaking bread), and a strict time limit of two hours per table. Feeling more like we were in a prison mess hall than a revolving restaurant boasting views of the city, we sought solace and possibly some assistance from the manager. Our savior, “Katherine,” turned out to be the bearer of more bad news, explaining in a tone colder than refrigerated forks that the coveted window tables were reserved for elusive VIPs, friends of the owner, or anyone who apparently could. decipher its cryptic “air policy”. In an attempt to save others from this gastronomic purgatory, I strongly recommend against visiting “Top of Vancouver,” especially to tourists looking to capture a piece of the city from above. Overrated and unimpressive, with a side of rudeness, it's a big no from me. In a city brimming with culinary gems, your time and taste buds deserve better.
Very pricey, but fun for a treat-outing.
The cauliflower bites are good. The ratatouille is kinda basic flavour-wise, but the vegetables are cooked perfectly.
“It was a top-notch dining experience!”
We are new in the city and decided to try Top of Vancouver Revolving Restaurant to witness the magical panoramic view of Vancouver. From the moment we arrive until we left, we felt welcomed and pampered. Shoutout to Terry who make our night more special by checking us from time to time if we need anything and offer us something to drink while waiting and also, when she knew that we are celebrating our friend’s birthday and by the time when we’re about to finish our flavourful meals, she arrived to our table with cake and sang happy birthday song. They even let us stay longer that time to enjoy the view during night time. If you have the opportunity to go eat there, make sure to catch the sunset and do not hesitate because it's worth it!
Nice to try once for the view
The view was everything and worth going once to see. My partner said his meal was average, my meal was a total pain in the ass to try to eat, tasted okay. Service was very very good. Washrooms were disappointing for a major tourist attraction. Didn’t reflect well on our city.
Awesome scenery, great atmosphere.
. very romantic and and set of staff. Not too much on the menu to choose from though.
End of holiday with dinner on the tower, lucky with the weather, food better than expected, ok tuna and salmon
End of holiday with dinner on the tower, food better than expected, good tuna tare and the Salmon with prawns, excellent service, definitely worth it for the view more than other revolving restaurants in other parts of the world, they don't rush to free the table
Worst restaurant in my restaurant experience i will never
Worst restaurant in my restaurant experience i will never come to this place again We book 2() weeks in advance there were! no window tables we had to wait 35(!) minutes and the manager we spoke about that(her name was SACHAor something like this) was not attentive Very UNPLEASANT and NEVER again
Great way to see Vancouver.
We did not have a reservation but learned if you are willing to sit on the inside of the revolving unit it was easy to get a last-minute reservation. We still had a great view. The prices are high, but the food tasted great and the views made the price worthwhile. We were there only an hour and got a full rotation with excellent service.
Skip dessert.
Ordered different types of entree all tasted amazing, but what really strike me was the lobster and scallop dish. Soda’s aren’t bottomless which caught us by surprise because it was from a dispenser and was not canned 😅 We celebrated my husband’s birthday and they gave us a complimentary dessert.. which was meh. Most of us got different desserts and we didn’t enjoy it. “SKIP DESSERT”
A novelty, but worth doing yes.
The view is spectacular the service is very good and the food is also good ... at night everything is romantic...
We made reservations at this restaurant a couple of months
We made reservations at this restaurant a couple of months ago for lunch. On a Saturday afternoon, it was pretty quiet. I got the smoked salmon avocado toast with a side of maple blueberry pork sausage and an iced tea. The entree was pretty generous and surprisingly good. The 360 degree view was spectacular! There is not a lot of revolving restaurants in North America so I was glad we made the right decision. Even though the entree was pricey for lunch, the spectacular views and friendly service definitely offset it. I thought this restaurant would just be a tourist trap but I was very surprised that it exceeded my expectations.
I've been trying to call the restaurant for two days
I've been trying to call the restaurant for two days (January 2nd and 3rd). While the automated message confirmed I had the right number, I couldn't leave a message because (a) no one was available to answer the call (understandable) and (b) the mailbox was full (unexpected as in what had happened to the restaurant). In the end, I called Harbour Centre directly. The security desk, very professional and helpful by the way, said the restaurant was closed until Friday the 5th. I'd expect a restaurant charging $100 on average per person to update its automated message with its hours and not leave their customers hanging. I'll call again but it leaves a bad taste in my mouth.
I am very disappointed in this restaurant.
My wife and i are in town from Oregon to celebrate our wedding anniversary. We had a reservation for tonight at 8:30, and the restaurant just called us to confirm our reservation, and tell us we can only eat there if we both order entrees. This is a massive bummer because we were going to order chowder and Cesar salads and drinks. The cheapest item on the entrees is a $46 vegetable penne. That is outrageous haha. We canceled and will take our business elsewhere. Avoid this place unless you can afford to spend $200 on a dinner. In the last year we've eaten in the Eiffel Tower in Paris and the space needle in Seattle, both for a fraction of the price. Who does this place think they are haha?
Delicious lunch (seared Ahi) with a beautiful view.
The service was great, with just the right amount of attentiveness. Highly recommend visiting if you have a chance.
This restaurant is a great experience for tourists.
It has a grand view of the city which is even better at night. I had the lobster bisque which was the soup of the day. It was savory and lacked sweetness from the lobster. I had the penne bolognese and the ahi tuna steak. The penne was decent and came in a large portion. The ahi tuna steak was fresh and cooked perfectly. The papaya salad complimented the flavor of the tuna. The servers were very attentive and gave diners time to enjoy the view in between courses. Overall, the food was decent and the price is definitely for the unique dining experience.
The service and the view was great.
Had the caprese salad for lunch followed by the crème brûlée which was very good!
Expensive for what they offer...
The truth is that it is an expensive restaurant for the service it offers... being so big they squeezed us into 2 tables of 8 people... there was no space between table and table... it was a hassle going out to the bathroom and there were only 4 tables in the entire restaurant ... the bathrooms were not very clean... the truth is there are better ones for dinner... the view you have to arrive early before the fog starts that comes down at 8.30 or 9... and goodbye to your view.. You don't see anything... it's worth it to go up and turn around... the dinner was very delicious but nothing out of this world...
Amazing experience here.
The food was delicious. View is amazing at night. Making a reservation online was quick and easy. Drinks were great. Our waiter, Peter, was great. The entire staff was attentive and accommodating. Highly recommend this restaurant/experience.
The view was spectacular, and the service was great.
We made a same-day reservation on Open Table. The hostess downstairs checked our reservation and invited us into the elevator which offered Jae-dropping views of the city. We were seated right away. All the dishes were tasty; I had stuffed salmon that was out of this world. Stuffed mushrooms were equally tasty. We had an amazing time!
Best dining experience of the holiday.
Found this restaurant on the last day of our holiday, the atmospheres lively, friendly welcoming staff, attentive, chose the duck from the menu. It was delicious, cooked perfectly, very tasty, and the whole experience is a highlight of the holiday, which included a cruise to Alaska.
Views great food average
The views are fantastic food is average. Had lobster bisque which was pretty bad to start the meal, watery and not much lobster in it didn't taste that good, my wife had a green salad which was very good drinks spicy margarita and blue crush very good. Stuff salmon was good, but nowhere near as good as salmon at sandbar restaurant granville island. The Cajun halibut was very good with the sauce without it was very dry. Sriracha fries were good and addictive. Cheesecake dessert was small but good. If soup would of been good I would of said above average but soup was terrible. Everything costs something, basket of bread 6.50 drinks 18 dollars. Your paying for the views which are great. Like another viewer said Dont look at prices. Workers are very nice
