The food was visually stunning but the taste varied from awful (the pate and the use of mayonnaise to decorate dishes) to wonderful (the venison meatballs. In the end, we would definitely not go back. The red wine was served ice cold, which really was shocking for such a nice restaurant. The service was good but they were not busy on a Friday night.
We had the distinct pleasure of dining in Roux today.
One cannot help but admire the true dedication of Chef Martin and his staff. Prior to beginning service I watched Chef Martin hold several crew meetings. When one walks through the door there is no mistaking their dedication to hospitality, perfection and their craft. Situated on the corner in a bright, perfectly themed space the team is plating up true memories that will not fade away. The entire team is effortlessly moving through their service without skipping one beat. I look forward to seeing their journey progress up the Michelin ladder to a status that they truly deserve. I thank you for your dedication and inventiveness.
A unique restaurant
We loved it. We returned several times and we recommend it without a doubt. The food is creative and excellent. Very pleasant service without being obsequential. We felt like we were treated like customers, from the reservation to the dessert.
Spectacular Meal in BA
We had one of the best meals of our honeymoon in Argentina at Roux. The dinner was the perfect mix of warm ambiance, thoughtful service, and spectacular food. Our server was incredibly attentive, unpretentious, and made our meal feel like the most celebratory occasion. We tried a couple of the appetizers, a pasta, the fish of the day, and were surprised by a dessert at the end. One of our favourites was the scallop ceviche, which had such a balanced acidity and richness, with fantastic texture. We also loved the delicacy of the sea bass and the comforting flavours of the ravioli. There were so many intentional elements of the meal that made it special - the small tasters to start, candied orange with our coffee and tea, and waiters who were patient with our nonexistent Spanish. Highly recommended!

Ended up going 3 times because I enjoyed it so much. Small menu with a very well varied selection of dishes to suit all tastes. Excellent service, although on my final visit I was left for 40 minutes after finishing my main course whilst other tables got the service. The maitre d' apologised and said it was because it was a "special day" for them but didn't explain any further. Then the waiter nearly messed up my bill payment by putting on 35000 pesos instead of 53000 pesos. Fortunately we both saw it in time. Two lovely evenings with dinner at Roux
We had dinner at Roux twice. The first time we ordered only appetizers (5) and sat outside. The second time we ordered a two appetizers and two entrees and ate inside. Both times the service and food were top notch. The appetizers were always fresh and had a wonderful mix of flavors. The entrees (fish of the day and quail) were outstanding. The quail sat on a wonderful pastry cup filled with sweet red peppers additional parts of the quail. Both evenings we had white wine. The bottles recommended were never the most expensive but were delicious and paired well with what we ordered. I can’t say enough good things about the service and food.
Reservations Required, Outstanding Service, Delicious Food
Gourmet food served at most reasonable prices considering what one gets. The service was outstanding from beginning to end. We asked for wine recommendations and felt the recommendation paired perfectly with our meals and was delicious. Complimentary starters and extra comp dessert tidbits were yummy and fun. My green salad had such tasty and varied greens which made a delightful combination. My sea bass was divine, so very delicious, as were the desserts, as was everything in fact. A wonderful meal for a special occasion or for just an evening out. Highly, highly recommended.
Dont Miss!
Well from the moment you sit down you will not regret the experience at this restaurant. I think they had the welcome sparkling or Still Water within seconds and staff was quick to attend to any need that you might have. There was a fleet of other waiters, and they worked as a true team. We did not realize they were a Michelin restaurant before arrival. My husband felt it was the best pork dish he ever had ! I enjoyed the venison also amazing the green salad it's also delicious with a light lemon dressing and my husband had the tomato salad which was out of this world. Again, all the food was amazing the service spectacular and lots of extras that were not expected like a glass of dessert wine and the appetizers which were free. Again, the wait stuff attend to every detail. We had a peach tart for dessert . Also the gifted dessert wine. This is a " do not miss situation". The restaurant is not that big. Don't forget to bring your cash tip because of the inflation credit cards you need to tip in cash and they're more deserving than the 10% which is standard. We thought the bill was very reasonable with two appetizers, 3 glasses of wine , 2 dinners and one dessert we paid around $105 dollers. Cheers!

On our final evening in Buenos Aires, we hit the highly rated Roux. We needed to push our reservation twice and they were very accommodating on the day of. Upon arrival, our table wasn't quite ready so they brought us glasses of champagne and a little nosh while we waited outside. This was clearly the place to be. We were seated at a perfect table and the only notable observation was that the lights are set way too bright for 9pm. The beau and I ordered everything to share and they brought out each course separately portioned out for us. This caused us some confusion as the portions looked normal size! They were being quite generous. We had the beet carpaccio salad, lamb ravioli, and prawns over butter risotto. The presentations were beautiful to look at and a delight to the taste. Rich flavors and delicate textures were the theme. We enjoyed our experience very much and had to take the leftovers after eating way too much. Unfortunately we just couldn't find the room for dessert which is really unacceptable for the beau and I. Roux is a lovely restaurant with a professional staff. Highly recommended.

Nothing to highlight. Normal food. Normal environment. Extensive menu. We saw very expensive ones. Nothing but nothing remarkable. It's not ugly but it's not pretty. The waiter and the maitre'd were about ten very professional, eager but poorly managed. Address missing. Go to “Tere's” and we'll talk.
Beyond expectations.
Everything was incredibly good. The service was just as impressive as the amazing food. It was a festival in the mouth. The ingredients were very fresh and had bright flavors. We will definitely return next trip to Buenos Aires

Excellent restaurant by Martin Rebaudino. Creative and very well prepared dishes. A varied menu with French, Spanish, Mediterranean and Argentine influences.

Excellent restaurant with impeccable service. The restaurant is small with outside seating in covered areas. We ate inside and it was very nice and the food was very good and a good wine list. Would definitely recommend.
Roux- Great Food, Impeccable Presentation and Great Staff
Roux has recently been recognized by Michelin. I can see why. The service, food and selection of wine are extraordinary. A special thank you to our waiter Maximo. When visiting BA i definitely recommend planning dinner at Roux.

A Food jewel! from the begining to and end! smal restaurant in Recoleta neighbohood with amazong food, top service every dish is better that another a total foodie experience dont miss it! Congratulations to the Chef & service team you all did wonderful , standing ovation to you all!

We saved Roux for our last night of a three week vacation in Argentina. We were excited based on all the great reviews and its recommendation on Eater. Our less than great experience started when the host appeared confused about our reservation, but chose to seat us quietly. The tables are very close together and our table was against the front window and door. We could hear the conversations of everyone around us. The gazpacho amuse bouche came quickly and a basket of lovely breads followed. From there we waited. No one took our order. After quite a long wait the waiter took our drink order and collected the menus. We had to explain we didn’t order yet. After another uncomfortably long wait our drinks were served. The waiter said he made the cocktails despite three staff standing behind the bar the entire time. Then he reconfirmed our order which he remembered incorrectly and entered it in the kitchen. We were in no hurry so it wasn’t a big deal. Our food was eventually served and the lamb ravioli and steak were well prepared. There was nothing to make the evening feel special. It felt to us like they hadn’t grown as a restaurant since they were listed as the best new restaurant in 2014, which was still displayed on the menu. The dishes are an odd mix of local, French and Spanish. We felt like un-invited guests at a party with few locals dining. We ate at so many great restaurants with excellent service while in Argentina and dined twice at one of our favorites. We would not return to Roux.
Came here on a recommendation and Roux did not disappoint.
French isn't my thing but I'd come back here in a second. Service was excellent with staff immediately dropping Gazpacho soup and hummus plate as part of the experience. We took our waiter's (Martin) suggestion and went with the Pumpkin Cridpy Tuil appetizer which was outstanding. For dinner, we had the Mantecato Risotto and the Lamb Ravioli which weee both excellent. Highly recommend a stop here, perhaps for a special occasion as it is a nice restaurant.

Fabulous dinner with exceptional service from Martin at unbelievable low price if you are an American visitor. We had appetizers, salad, steak entree (perfection) desserts, with coffee and a fantastic of bottle of Malbec for about $70. Don't miss this Recoleta masterpiece.
