Pearl Brasserie Dublin 2 Reviews from The Last Year
Pearl Brasserie is a true gem in Dublin's fine dining scene.
This elegant French restaurant delivers an exquisite culinary experience from start to finish. The menu showcases classic French techniques with innovative twists, using top-quality Irish produce. Each dish is a masterpiece of flavors and presentation. The wine list is equally impressive, with perfect pairings suggested by knowledgeable staff. The service is impeccable - attentive yet unobtrusive, adding to the refined atmosphere. While prices reflect the high-end experience, the value is undeniable for such exceptional cuisine. Whether for a special occasion or a luxurious night out, Pearl Brasserie offers a memorable, top-tier dining adventure in the heart of Dublin.
Fantastic food and very good service
Fantastic, wonderful food, superb service 10 out of 10 points! Duck liver was wonderful, a whole piece of light neck that melted in the mouth!
Pearl Brasserie
Went here with family. Lovely food, had the crab as a starter. Steak as a main. The others loved their dishes. The staff were nice a recommended dishes we should go for. The place is clean.
Special Family Dinner
First visit to the Pearl Brassiere and as they say first impressions last. This restaurant definitely delivers on all fronts. Very friendly welcome, beautiful surroundings with a lovely atmosphere. Food was exceptional and whilst the portions look small they were just right. Highly recommended the pigeon for your mains. Overall excellent evening and will definitely be back for our next special occasion.
Went back in May, excellent experience.
Extremely accommodating when we adjusted our party size, food/drinks were great, the whole staff was informed, friendly, and professional.
Outstanding food, drink & service.
Delicious from start to finish. For starters, it was Castletownbere Crab Meat (€20). Main was John Stone Irish Beef Fillet (€42). Wines were a selection taken from the French & Italian lists.
Exceptional
Superb experience, Staff are exceptional, extremely attentive. The ambience, food, experience & attention to detail is first class. Well worth a visit.
It could be even much better
I left this restaurant with a feeling that it could be even much better than it was. Don’t misunderstand me. The experience was good. Good food (in particular the starters), service was fine (although I found there were too many staff members at times not really taking any initiatives). The wine list is on the expensive side and the affordable ones are so-so wines. Restaurant ambiance is fine. Again, it could be a greater experience with more work from the room
Great food with quality service.
Been here twice to confirm. Really special. Great for solo diner. Good table. Great service. Not rushed. Even asked when I wanted dessert brought. Food is perfect. Venison two ways with potatoes good enough to please an ex-pat (pad?) Irishman. Pricey but not in the range you would be prepared to pay for quality of food, setting and service.
Friends catch up
We had dinner with a large group of friends last night and everything was fantastic about the experience. Food was excellent, service just right and a really lovely table. Cannot recommend this restaurant enough. Don’t miss the opportunity to try it out.
Like an old glove
The staff throughout the restaurant were welcoming and so very professional. The food was superb and the way the service was done made it very special. This is fine dining at its very best and is a real night our
We came here for a pre-Christmas meal and was not
We came here for a pre-Christmas meal and was not disappointed. I usually shy away from set holiday menus, but every course was well prepared, with the scallops being a particular highlight. Service was fantastic considering it was the holidays and we loved the unique layout of the space, which was huge in footprint but felt intimate with the connecting rooms.
So disappointed with surprise tasting menu
So disappointed with the food Went for 6 course tasting menu and it was very poor at almost €100 per person I expected better 1 starter was tasteless the other a soup was cool of the 2 mains one was venison it was so small barely a taste to be had and for dessert 4 small pieces of cheese and a hard chocolate pie we booked here 6 months ago as a treat to ourselves and what a letdown restaurant was amazing staff where fantastic but the food probably because it was a tasting menu was lacking in anything
Outstanding foor, service and atmosphere
We dropped in on a Saturday Night without a reservation, and they went well out of their way to accommodate us. We were very grateful - the food and service were outstanding. A week and a half later, our last night in Ireland, we decided to go back, this time with a reservation, and this time, the food and service were even better. The restaurant is comfortable, quiet enough for conversation, with a great and diverse menu and an extensive wine list. It was easily our favorite restaurant of our two-week trip - and the competition wasn't trivial. Ireland, it turns out, has wonderful food.
Dublin has many things to offer but we had no idea that we
Dublin has many things to offer but we had no idea that we would hit this outstanding spot for a 3 course meal, after traveling for 10 hours. The location is charming because the restaurant is in the basement of the hotel historical Merrion. It reminds me of a cave with quaint, separate rooms for dining. The Staff are so sweet. We had 3 different servers and they ensured that our meal was exceeding our expectations, on multiple occasions. We ordered a goat cheese mousse as our appetizer. We had halibut and carrots as our meal. The chocolate eclair to top of our meal wasn't too sweet, which was to my liking. The gin, elderberry grapefruit cocktail was perfect too! The carrots and fish were so fresh! We didn't even make reservations and were able to be seated promptly, even though the restaurant was busy! Highly recommend this 5 star gem!

When you sell a reservation that has a prepaid fee AT takes a commission on that fee. This doesn’t really make sense because it’s an expense the seller incurs not part of the profit that is shared.
For example:
Carbone NYC fee to book table for 2 is $108.88
If you sell it for $200 on AT you get $140 from them.
Your net profit is $31 and AT collects $60 in fees.
It would make more sense not to charge commission on the upfront fee as this creates a disincentive and results in higher costs for buyers.

Agreed. Ultimately not addressing this month after month is clearly resulting in a drop in certain venue’s rankings & sales.
