Fogo de Chão Brazilian Steakhouse Bellevue Reviews from The Last Year
Roslyn, David and Samantha were the absolute best severs.
So incredibly attentive and just really genuine good people. Took my family here that have never been here before. Food was absolutely delicious, didn't try one thing that we didn't like. The meat service was overwhelming in the best way possible of the choices and selections and just how quickly everyone came around. Had the cheesecake brûlée for dessert the absolute best. Prices were surprising, it was cheaper than what I thought it would be. Parking is super easy it's in the same building and free. Highly recommend coming here. Will be back for sure.

Unfortunately.
.. quite the disappointment. I had thought this place was supposed to be upscale, high quality food but I was wrong. My friend that had gone a few times to another location brought me here, as this was their favorite steak spot - and even they were let down. Not sure if there's any part of the experience that I really can commend other than that the waiters checked on us regularly enough. To start off, I thought it was weird that they wouldn't take walk-ins when there were tables clearly empty, but the hostess said reservations only - so we checked online, and there was an opening in 15 minutes so we booked that and then were able to get a table. Next the sides bar, which had cheeses, salami/cured meats, roasted veggies, salads, rice, beans, soup, etc. - was honestly super boring. I was underwhelmed by the options. I tried the brazilian potato salad, which I was excited for - and it was the worst one I've ever had. Undersalted and tasted just like straightup mayo, nothing else. Veggies were also undersalted, no other noticeable seasoning, nothing exciting about them. Didn't even go for the salami/cheese - it's a steakhouse, why are you offering these cheap deli meats?? I tried the tomato soup, as one of the workers passed by and said that that was good - but alas was nothing exciting either. Tomato soups from cartons from grocery stores are much better. (Also on a side note, I didn't get why the beans and soup were not labeled - the beans just looked like a dark stew which people not accustomed to latin cuisine might not understand, and the soup was just plain confusing without a label and it also didn't help that they didn't have any soup bowls left next to it.) Next, drinks. I ordered a Passionfruit Caipirinha and my friend a Cucumber Mint Smash or whatever it was called. Yikes. Their drink tasted watery while mine tasted too strong and WAY too sugary - I had to force myself to drink more than a few sips but I just gave up on it in the end and didn't finish it. Also there was definitely no passionfruit in the flavor. This was just hands down the worst Caipirinha I've ever had, tasted like an immediate hangover/regrets. It needed more lime to balance it out but also just wayyy less sugar, it made me want to spit it up. Then, the side dishes that are brought to the table. The highlight was the mashed potatoes, but it needed more cream and garlic - it cooled and got really hard and chunky, when it should've stayed soft and smooth. The Pão de queijo I was looking forward to the most, but that was also made untraditionally (in muffin tins, hence their shape, when it usually comes in ball form), and although fresh, the outside was too hard and tough, while the inside was too soft - the oven temp probably needed to be slightly lower and baked a little longer to get a more consistent texture. I tried a bite of the fried polenta sticks but it had zero flavor. The fried bananas were spot on (maybe a little too burnt) but that didn't require much skill to make so I don't have much more to say about that. Finally, the meats. They came by offering all the cheaper meats first, and for a while - the chicken, the pork, more chicken, more chicken, pork again... then ultimately beef, which was what we had come for. Then chicken again, then pork... then I think a manager or someone came by to ask if we needed anything and my friend asked for their favorite cut of meat, so they finally got that to us next - which was their final note of disappointment. Both of our filet mignon were completely bland, and had a weird taste to it - maybe mixed with another cut? (And yes they said specifically it was the filet mignon -but one part was tender and another part tasted like innards, I dont know how.) But either way this became a trend with most of the rest of the cuts - bland, flavorless, needed SALT. Steaks are nothing without a good penetration of salt. Most of the cuts we got that had the outside roasted part were salted, but we both got some that weren't salted. And you can tell that they didnt marinate the steaks nor season it properly before cooking, because all of the insides of the steaks had no flavor. At the bare minimum, salt and pepper shouldve been provided at the tables, as is custom at most other restaurants... but especially here if you aren't going to properly season my steaks. I also had overcooked, dry, stringy cuts that were hard to chew, and the lamb could've also been a touch juicier. Overall really not happy with anything, and I really wanted to like it - especially at that price point. My last comment will be that for a brazilian steakhouse, there really should've been more Brazilians employed. But everyone was either white, spanish-speaking latino, or asian - which made me convinced that this is an all American establishment and not for any even semi authentic brazilian food. A shame, because the culture really has some beautiful food and this experience might turn others away from it.
9/10. I came here to celebrate my best friend's birthday!
9/10. I came here to celebrate my best friend's birthday! It was a wholesome experience! First off, the steak is amazing! They served great quality meat like steaks, lamb, bacon and chicken and they are all fantastic. All the meat are very nicely roasted and juicy and did not leave my mouth dry and salty. The food in the salad bar were surprisingly amazing with a wide variety of choices! I must say I really enjoyed the bread and also the plantain they served! They were the best that I have ever had! 8/10: Great service! They paid a very close attention to our need, especially we are a big table with over 15 people, they did not disappoint us when it comes to serving us meat, filling water and giving us more bread and plantain lol! Shout to the waiter that served our table, he did a wonderful job and made sure we are having a great time! They are all very polite and looking sharp! The waiters are very cute and handsome too hehe! 8/10: I have never been to a restaurant that is this gorgeous and beautiful! I believed that we went on a perfect timing during the golden hours! When the sun is shining through the window, I literally stop eating and have to take pictures of my friend because it almost feels like we are not in Seattle but in South France! Everything is very clean and classy. This place is in Bellevue Square (I think...) and seriously the best location! I would come back here again to celebrate big events!
I can't believe it's rated so high.
Food here is generally over salted with poor flavor. Meat is hard to chew.
Amazing experience at Fogo last night.
The best I have been so far. Great atmosphere, delicious food, fantastic staff. Thank you!

For those that have been to a churrascaria before this was a very disappointing experience. Overpriced. Waiters need to be trained on how to properly cut the meat. Salad bar also not good. Rice and beans tasteless. Pao de queijo was terrible.
I made a reservation for dinner July 4th and checked in #1
I made a reservation for dinner July 4th and checked in #1 at the hostess stand. Was told that they would notify me when the table was ready. After about 3 min they sent a text that the table was ready and to text 1 to let them know we were coming. I Went to the hostess stand to check in #2 and even showed my phone and was told that the table wasn't ready so had to wait again. Instead of waiting outside the door we stood across from the hostess stand. After 10 min I went to check and was told they called my name but I didn't respond. Not true. 2 names were called and neither name belonged to me. They put my party down as no show and now wasn't sure if we could get seated... eventually they acknowledged that they marked the wrong party as no show. Instead of seating us right away we had to wait and speak to a manager. The mistake was made with the hostess, not us being no shows when we clearly checked in 2 times and waited in front of her face. Bad communication between the hostess and the staff taking people to tables. Other parties were getting told different things and being taken to tables that were for another party. It was a mess. Eventually we got a table. Food was good but dealing with the reservation left a bad taste in our mouth.
We went here for Father's Day appreciation.
The service was EXCEPTIONAL! Our server, Sam, was in training and gets 5 Stars. He was attentive, friendly, should be hired full time with a raise. NO I'm not related! Seriously, go in and ask for Sam. OH, the food was supurb!

1 star as I feel service at Fogo de Chao has gone down
1 star as I feel service at Fogo de Chao has gone down significantly. In my last couple of visits I had to wait a long time for the servers to show up to my table with meat options. The most recent was a birthday party i set up with 25 guests. I bought one of their packages which includes drinks, their churrasco experience and dessert. Once all the guests had arrived and were seated, there was literally no one who attended to the guests asking them for their drink options for 20-25 mins. During this time half of the guests were not served any meat. I had to go and complain to the manager and only then we were attended to. It is unacceptable for such an establishment to provide a poor experience to their customers when they are charging so much per person. Everyone in my group was very dissatisfied with the overall experience It is really unfortunate as I did like the place but the recent experiences mean I will prefer dining at other establishments moving forward.
Very disappointing experience.
We were here for Father's Day and despite making reservations well In advance, we were seated at our table 35 minutes later. Mind you we had children under the age of 3 with us so as you can imagine the wait was difficult. The line outside was ridiculous. Poor management and clearly there were over bookings made. After finally being seated, we were hungry and looking forward to having some good food. By far the worst dining experience I've had in Seattle. Sadly. Although our cards were on green, we wouldn't get served a lot of the time, and when we did the meat was very bad. It was very chewy and fatty. The only meat acceptable was the flank. I'm so shocked at the experience we had. I've been to the Fogo in Lynwood and it was a completely different experience. I wish I didn't book here for my husbands first Father's Day. I was hoping it would be something special and a good meal. Never again.

Not a great variety of food, meat took a while to arrive at table. Bread was good. Server was rushing.
if you are looking to book a reservation for a special
if you are looking to book a reservation for a special occasion do not book here for a special day. I booked a reservation at this location about five weeks ago for Fathers Day. Its my husbands fav restaurant and i was hoping to make it super special. We arrive right on time for our 530 reservation to find about forty people waiting outside and about 20 inside, all had reservations. From the conversations it seemed people were waiting an hour or more to sit. we waited almost an hour outside. I inquired how many tables in front of us after an hour wait. Five tables in front of us. I understand that this is the place where people could sit for a long time but they over booked. Really bummed out our special occasion.
I have been to five other Brazilian steak houses before and
I have been to five other Brazilian steak houses before and this was far the worst and most expensive of all. It seemed like the cooks just rush cooked the meats to keep up with the demand, therefore we were served undercooked meat, burned on the outside and bloody red inside, not well prepared ahead of time, with bland favor. We waited for a long time for the next round of meat to be served, salad bar was not restocked timely and had much fewer options than other restaurants'. Spent $500 for 7 people's lunch and we all came out very unsatisfied. My family will not go back.
The service and food was absolutely amazing or server
The service and food was absolutely amazing or server Samantha and her helper Rosalyn. This was a Father's Day event and it was extremely memorable. If you have a special occasion be sure to ask for Samantha, she is the queen of excellent Samantha.
I have never, EVER written a restaurant review but, after
I have never, EVER written a restaurant review but, after our experience last night, that tide has turned. HORRIBLE!!! My parents, my husband and I flew in from Florida for my nephew's (my parents grandchild) HS graduation. It was a family dinner for 8. My sister-n-law made reservations over 3 weeks ago for 6pm. We needed an earlier time for my elderly parents who are 84 and 88. This is a very special and meaningful trip for them as my Mom is not well/terminal (Cancer) but she and my Dad wanted to be here for their grandson. We arrived on time and were told the table was not ready. Little did we know at the time that we were in for the long haul! First problem: There is ZERO seating for anyone waiting except for a thin window ledge that we found for my Mom and Dad. While we waited, we asked to see a menu. Second problem: They said we needed to scan the QR code. Fine for everyone in our party except for my parents. We asked if there were any paper menus. Several of the (very) young staff members did not seem to understand the concept and kept repeating the fact that we had to use our phones. My parents (like many if not most in their age bracket) are not tech savvy, hardly know how to use a cell phone and the print is far too small for 'older' eyes. Yes, even with the larger font. They did not seem to care and had NO clue if such a thing existed. After getting nowhere with the front staff, they had the floor Mgr come over. Again, without answering my question, directed me to scan the QR code for them. We had no problem overlooking these problems. These things happen often on a busy and frenetic Saturday evening. I am also extremely understanding of possible staff issues, etc. I asked again around 6:15 about the reservation. I was told we were second in line. Mo problem we thought. Again, it was a busy Saturday night. 6:30 passed and three other groups were called and led to their tables. At this point, perturbed, I approached the hostess again telling her that I thought we were second in line and asked why three groups had gone ahead. Only then did she clarify that no, we were second in line for a table of 8. Are you kidding me??? My parents were not complaining but I know they were not comfortable basically having to squat against a window. We asked to speak with a manager. After a few minutes he arrived and, after we asked if that's how he would want his elderly grandparents to be treated, he said he would look to see if he could find a table somehow and would be back a couple of minutes later. 6:45 passes and no Manager. Our nephew, my parent's grandson, was upset to see his grandparents uncomfor table and said it was not worth it... he said we could go somewhere else. Right, not likely on a Saturday evening unless we want to put two 80 something's through another grueling wait, without seating. Asked for the Manager again after we were fed up and ready to walk. At nearly 7pm, an hour after our reservation time and still second in line for an 8 top, he arrived and said that he would seat us. My parents were extremely tired and we could not wait for a table and a dinner that would not have them home until late (for them). We told him no thank you and expressed how extremely disappointed we were. As I slowly began walking my parents out, i later found out that the hostess was in tears at seeing how my parents were treated. Mind you, the hostess did what she could within her capabilities and we had NO issues with her. She tried to help. After getting home, my family members in the other car told me that, after everyone had walked out of the restaurant, the Mgr ran after my sister in law and said we could come back and he would comp the meal. The first car had pretty much driven off at this point and, after everything that had transpired, we were done. Fogo de Chão... DO BETTER!!! I know you are a big chain and will likely not give this a second glance as it will not affect your bottom line. These 8 people, my brothers large division group at T-Mobile and and my sister in law's larger division at Microsoft will never step foot beyond your threshold.
Made reservation 2 weeks in advance for my graduating son.
My terminally ill mother flew out and we knew this may be the last time the kids see her. Fogo de Chao overbooked and had us waiting for an hour after our reservation. Never offered my mom a seat, kept us in the dark, and finally told us there are no tables available for at least an hour. We left and had to scramble to get everyone feed. My company frequently hosts clients in Bellevue, one thing for sure, I will never give them any business.
very good
The meat was (as expected) excellent, service friendly and prompt. The restaurant was packed. The wine selection and quality could be better.
Not their best effort
We arrived just after 2pm so we missed lunch and paid dinner prices which was no big deal. Not my first time eating at Fogo de Chao, as I’ve been to several locations throughout the country so my expectations were high. It seemed we received a lot of leftovers from lunch. The meat service started with chicken thighs and bacon wrapped steak. The chicken skin was very tasty but both pieces were way overcooked as was most of the meat that followed although I will say the meats were well seasoned. To their credit I did get a piece of ribeye and prime sirloin that was perfectly cooked but most of it remained on my plate. They brought out some polenta that was cold and stale and the wait staff should know better than to serve that in the first place. The salad bar seemed a bit sparse and more like the typical one you’d find at Texas de Brazil. Even though my wife and I were 2 out of 8 people dining that afternoon I felt we were being rushed a bit. We didn’t complain and we left mostly content but for a $250 late lunch, I expected a much more memorable experience from this place.
Not enough meat to our table justify the price. Poor service.
My family and I went to celebrate a birthday and an anniversary. We were sat at a table off in the the along the street side of the restaurant , in a sort of niche. Both my chair and the table rocked. The salad bar was excellent . There was no sign/ label telling me what kind of soup was offered. So I did not try it. We asked for mashed potatoes. We were given enough for 2 people. Again there were six of us. Three of us are meat and potato eating men! In the first few minutes we were offered a few 4 varieties of steak. Nothing more. I was waiting for chicken breast, pork chop, or lamb. None of which ever showed up at our table. I saw many times the what I believe was bacon wrapped chicken breast go down the main aisle. I asked the server for chicken. They eventually brought chicken thigh. Which I do not care for. So for myself the best part of the dinner, were the little rolls and the beets on the salad bar. Hardly worth the price we paid. I do not think I will go back.
First time - but hopefully not my last...
We were at this location on Christmas. It was absolutely packed. It was our first time to a Brazilian steak house so the experience was interesting. All the servers we dealt with were helpful. I do want to do a special call out for our young server Sydney. She explained the process and was cheerful and enthusiastic - a real pleasure.. She was assisted by Saturnino who was also terrific. We had a table near the kitchen which meant we were able to witness the controlled chaos of many people with large knives and many pounds of meat. We were holding out for meat that we do not normally have the opportunity to eat and we were not disappointed. The lamb (both preperation) was mild and tender. I preferred the chops. The pork belly was OK - a little under seasoned if you are a real fan of pork belly, but I did like the way it was served with lime and honey. The beef was terrific. The cheesy bread is more like a popover and it was addictive. All in all a very positive experience and I look forward to visiting again.
Disappointing & expensive meal..
There were twelve of us & we order the “Churrasco Experience”. We paid about $1000+. We were serve basically 90% chicken BBQ & 10% of the beef & lamb entrees. We have to asked for the beef & the lamb entrees to get them & they were not the good cut. The dinner was extremely expensive for chicken BBQ. The meal we had is not even worth $200. I will not recommend the place at all. It was a very disappointing dinner experience.
SKIP TO THE NEXT RESTAURANT, trust me!
This was my first time ever going to a Fogo De Chão, I have been to several other high end restaurants along Bellevue Square and have had great experiences, especially during Snowflake Lane. My husband and I dined in and I was surprised that I wasn’t given the option of still or sparkling water, especially after hearing other guests being asked… We were not offered beverages other than water (my husband ended up flagging down our waiter and asking him for beverages 45 minutes into our meal). I DID NOT appreciate that the manager, LISETTE, came to our table to introduce herself, HUGGED MY HUSBAND and then gave me a stiff, brief handshake and walked away quick. Our waiter’s energy was loud and childish. It gave me Red Robin’s vibes. The meat was all seasoned exactly the same; the only differentiation I could tell was the Parmesan crusted meats, the chicken and the bacon wrapped pieces. Everything else tasted the same. The “Gauchos” stand ridiculously close, I had way too many crotches literally an inch away from my face and having to lean away multiple times. The venue was extremely drafty & I wore my winter coat inside the entire time- not something I expected when the restaurant was full and it seemed like their oven would’ve been going constantly. We ordered a lamb chop that never arrived. The hot sides we had ordered did not come out until WAY after we had finished our meats. I left PISSED and I won’t be back. Especially after speaking with some mutual friends who are employed here, WORKING THEIR EMPLOYEES ALL DAY ON THANKSGIVING IS RIDICULOUS. DO BETTER. 🤦🏻 ♀️
Would not do again - disappointment all around
The best way to describe the experience - is uncontrolled chaos. Despite having a reservation, and turning up on time, we were sent away and told we'd get a text when our table was ready. The salad bar food selection was appalling, a mixture of overcooked and undercooked food. Who likes raw asparagus ? Who likes undercooked rice? One of the menu items we ordered wasn't available, so we asked for a something else on the menu. The response "oh, the kitchen will try make that for you" - as if they were surprised someone wanted an item from the menu - and we should be grateful that the kitchen would cook something. It took 40 minutes for that one order to turn up at the table. The mashed potatoes that arrived to the table were cold. What should have been a pleasant evening, turned into a 'hmm, I wonder if we can get food elsewhere'. Will not do again.
Thank you Jose J!!
I recently attended a nursing dinner at Fogo de Chao in Bellevue. The food was delicious and the staff were awesome. However, I wanted to specifically thank Jose J for his outstanding service. Every time I even just looked over at him he was on his way to serving me as well as all of my other co-workers who attended the educational class with me before I even said anything. His attention to detail was remarkable. He made the whole experience so much better. Everyone had a great time. Thank you so much!
Horrible customer service
We have been to multiple locations of this restaurant chain. Today we went for brunch and waited around 15 minutes for a table. The Host took us to 2 top that was right beside the very busy bussing station. The restaurant is only 1/2 full, so I asked if there was another table that wasn’t right in the busiest and noisiest area of the restaurant. The answer was a simple “NO” and he turned away from us. We weren’t even given the option of waiting for another table. We left and informed the front desk. My husband and I took our money and business upstairs to Dukes and had a very nice meal which was also friendly and less expensive. Wr won’t be back

Great Service - amazing dinner!!
Read about the site in NYT and bought a reservation at Mother Wolf in LA 2 days later. Worked great and the food was amazing!!!
Worked perfectly!
Got the reservation (that I couldn't get anywhere else) and was able to entertain a group of friends at the infamous Bern's Steakhouse.
Got into Nobu Malibu
Wonderful! My parents are visiting and we have wanted to go to Nobu Malibu for years. I tried getting a reservation myself but it was next to impossible. So glad I was able to buy a reservation on appointment trader for a decent price!
Very easy
Was very hesitant going into this experience but am glad to say that it worked out very well ! will definitely use appointment trader in the future
Fabulous Lunch
I was veeeeeerry skeptical that this would work, particularly at a restaurant as hard to get into as Nobu Malibu, and it was perfect! We had lunch outside on the patio and it was fabulous!
Great reviewer team
Just wanted to take a second to shout out the reviewer team. Even though they probably review hundreds of listings and bids a day, they still take the time to leave great comments and respond relatively quickly. Thanks!
Incredible
I got a reservation to Don Angie, which I've been trying to book for weeks! I am very happy with this service.
Best platform out there!
Super simple, easy, and fast to secure reservations for hard-to-get restaurants and locations!
This app is life changing
This app has opened my world up to so many wonderful new experiences I would never have the chance to have without access to this awesome app! 10/10!
Worked perfectly
Was a little nervous at first but was pleased to see that the booking went through flawlessly.
Highly recommended.
Success on Short Notice
Was able to snag an indoor table at Don Angie through an absolutely seamless worry-free process.

Worked well, got me into a restaurant with no availability
I was skeptical, and I still don't really know how they managed to find this hard-to-find reservation, but it was a win-win from my point of view, and I'll use this service again.
Last minute reservation for Delilah Las Vegas
Got a last minute reservation, dinner for 2 at Delilah Las Vegas: super impressed! The process was simple, transaction seamless. We had an amazing time! Couldn’t be happier! 😍
It works!
Ok at this point I've attended a reservation purchased on AT by a friend and sold a reservation personally. Both worked pretty smoothly, nothing sketchy about it. A few areas for improvement including a way to more directly communicate between buyers and sellers, but the app always seems to be in development. AT customer support is really(!) responsive and helpful too if you have questions!
Money transfer
As a seller, I like the fact i have the ability now to transfer money out of my AT account and into a bank account. Makes getting the money much easier then the process before.
Love this app
Got to go to places otherwise unreachable
Easy Access
Very easy to get into one of the hardest restaurants to reserve in New York.
Whose name will my reservation be under when I arrive at the venue?
It can be under your name or a name you choose! Some reservation offers already include the AppointmentTrader Transfer Service which will transfer the reservation in to your name. If its not included you can add it on after buying the reservation for a small fee. One thing on that though: As many reservations become available at last minute, taking a reservation in someone else name is quick and great for privacy. Most reservations on AT are listed with a virtual phone number, so all you need to do is present the phone number at the hostess stand and you are good to go!
Payouts Blocked Because of Sell Through Rate
Yes unfortunately they are finding more and more ways to lock up sellers money. Sell thru rate, refund rate, limiting withdrawal amounts ler day and per month (which for me are the same number which makes no sense). Lot of sellers leaving as you can see from the lifetime sales not really increasing. Most posts on here are frustrated sellers which is not a recipe for success

Prepaid Reservation Fee
Agreed. Ultimately not addressing this month after month is clearly resulting in a drop in certain venue’s rankings & sales.

Need to cancel a bid, not getting a response… how do I do it?
Click on "Take off the Market Option" in your portfolio
Working on your bid?
Your bid has been “matched” with a reservation. From the time a reservation has been located, the seller of the reservation must connect with moderator to give transfer information for reservation. If the seller;however, does NOT respond to reservation transfer, then your bid is reprocessed and returns to the first step, which is connecting your request to a reservation.
Process after bid is accepted.
Hey @EvocativeFold67, welcome to appointmenttrader! Once the reservation is in your portfolio, you definitely own the timeslot, the review team would not have approved the trade if the reservation wasn't confirmed - so you are going :-) Judging from your post you bid today and are going tomorrow - don't worry as long as you initiated the name transfer, you are good - the transfer service has to work with the opening hours of the reservation team of the respective venue. You will likely see the transfer confirmation a couple hours before your reservation time.
Where do the Reservations on AppointmentTrader come from?
Mostly from people who don't need their reservations or appointments any longer. AT has no relationship with places listed and acts as a platform connecting buyers and sellers making sure that listed reservations are real and that privacy is not compromised when transacting.
What happens if my bid expires unanswered?
Hey @FluffyStar64, thanks for the question! When you place your bid the amount gets transferred in a deposit account, the second you either cancel your bid or a few minutes after the bid expires the funds are moved back into your main account from where you can refund it to your payment method or use for other transactions.
