Pretty good
The draw is the schnitzel and it was huge and it was tasty. The setting was nice enough and we were very glad we booked as it was very busy. The menu though is quite limited in terms of food and drink and as a result it’s a place where you come for about 40 minutes rather than a nice stretched out sit down meal.
Be the first to ReplyAlways outstanding.
Brought a group of 8 with a reservation for 6 on a Sunday for lunch. They were perfectly accommodating. We all had meatballs, schnitzel and the mixed salads. This is my first time at the baker street location. It was wonderful. Great food, great service in a classic Vienna establishment. This is my 4th time visiting. It’s always on my plans to eat here.

Great schnitzel!!!!! Never disappoints. Had a great lunch with family, who were visiting Vienna for the first time, and they also loved it.
Be the first to ReplyGreat place for dinner in Wien
Visited Figlmueller for a dinner this week. Lucky that we made a reservation, because the place was full. Wiener schnitzel of pork with potatosalad was exactly what we were looking for. Great choice for dinner in Wien. Highly recommended!
Be the first to ReplyDelicious schnitzel. Avoid the queues and book at least a month ahead.
I had been really looking forward to returning to Figlmueller to ascertain if the schnitzel was as good as I had remembered. In fact I was so excited about returning that I booked to have lunch on two separate days. I was not disappointed on either occasion. We had reserved the Figlmeuller in Backerstrasse, not the original restaurant, and again were not disappointed as this restaurant was more modern, was larger and had a lot more room between the tables. When we arrived on both days there was a queue in excess of 20 metres. As we had reservations, we just walked straight up to the front door, went in, showed the lady our booking and were seated within five minutes. There is quite a large a la carte menu though I don't know why anyone would go past the house special of the pork schnitzel, which more than fills your plate, with potato salad and a small mixed salad. There is also a gluten free option that comes without the bread crumbs. Absolutely delicious and so filling that we didn't need dinner. Also had a bottle of the Gruner Veltliner Weinviertel which was quite good. Service was friendly and efficient though it was evident when the bill arrived that tipping was expected. Highly recommended but strongly suggest booking well in advance, at least a month if not longer, if you want to avoid long queues.

Mega-large schnitzel, great potato salad - highly recommended. We were 2 couples and we left so very much smiling and full :)
Be the first to ReplyA HAVE TO TRY SCHNITZEL IN VIENNA
In a very narrow alley Figlmuller has to offer the best schnitzel in Vienna. Be aware that this restaurant brand has other restaurants too. I feel this is more special than the others. You have to book in advance to find a table else they might turn you away. We were sat at the front bit at a very nice table. Our order consisted of the Figlmüller-Schnitzel made of pork: original since 1905 and Viennese boiled beef in the pot. Both dishes amazing and the schnitzel was the best we had in Vienna. I recommend to visit it and enjoy an amazing meal.
Be the first to ReplyOnce Upon a Time, in Vienna... Now it's completely different... Figlmuller don't need client's...
I never imagined that a restaurant could "fall" so much! I have visited it since 15 years ago, many times. But, with the end of the pandemic, respect for the quality of the food and, implicitly, for the customer, decreased dramatically... The Viennese Schnitzel, once famous, remained a memory... A much smaller plate (26 cm. instead of 32 ), a schnitzel even smaller than the plate (sometimes "dadea" on the outside) and a very bad quality of the food: the layer of egg with puffed breadcrumbs, the thickness of the schnitzel 0.3 cm, OK, but the taste is bland). Someone had told me that it is no longer what it was. I don't believe it, but I convinced myself. And, no matter how kind the waiter was, I will NEVER return to a place that confirmed to me that these people do not need customers, because... they come alone. And one more thing: the price has only increased by not even 2 euros per piece, but the quality, at least five times as much. Too bad!... Once upon a time in Vienna, Figlmuller Backerstrasse... Now it's completely different...
Be the first to ReplyGreat local place
All three of got a veal schnitzel and tried the fries, parsley potato and potato salad. I see why its a local favorite. We made a 6pm reservation and got taken right away. I highly recommend making a reservation when we left there was a long line outside in the cold. Service and food was outstanding . It was the best schnitzel I ever tried. It was light but crispy not greasy at all. Me personally my fav was the parsley potatoes. Make sure you go there when visiting Vienna

Superb schnizel. Larger than plate + roasted potatoes. Yum! When in old town, go to Figmuller. I just could’nt eat the whole dish
Be the first to ReplyPerfect place for amazing schnitzel
The place had a very small queue, we got seated in under 10 minutes, the restaurant is very big but very well distributed into different areas so you can feel very cozy with and the atmosphere is quite. We ordered of course the classic Vienna veal schnitzel and pork schnitzel, the veal one was huge so we though one would be enough for two, oh boy were we wrong :) it's just the perfect size for one. The schnitzel comes with the most amazing potato salat that's fresh, savory and sweet. Price wise it was just a bit more expensive than most places but so worth it.
Be the first to ReplyGo To Tourist Restaurant But So Much Better Than That
First of all, you must book this restaurant ahead of time or you might be waiting in the street for an hour or longer or even turned away. The place is a combination of nooks and crannies with larger rooms also. Really cool. The servers are professional and friendly and the place has a buzz to it. The food is very good. I always have the veal snitzel and my wife has the fried cheese. They are quite good but the real excellent dish comes with it and thats the potato salad and greens. Really nice taste. We visit Vienna twice a year and always visit Figlmueller. Its well worth it but don't forget what I said. Make the reservations ahead of time!
Be the first to ReplyGreat schnitzel in a very nice setting!
Glad we had a reservation as the restaurant was full with people waiting outside in the rain and cold. We ordered the pumpkin soup to start on a cold evening and it was quite tasty, no hints of sweetness at all. But the highlight was the Wiener schnitzel! 4 of us ordered it and we all loved it. The kids had the Figlmueller schnitzel which is pork. The pork is what you see in the picture…one piece that covers the entire plate. The veal schnitzel is actually two pieces. The veal was much better. It costs about 5€ more per entree. Didn’t care for the potato salad as the onion was far to pronounced. Nice wine list, mostly Austrian. Definitely recommend for Viennese cuisine!

Excellent. Despite the tourists at this place he service and food are top notch. You don’t just get a great meal here but you feel welcome and like a regular customer.
Be the first to ReplyGood but expensive and seems targeted to tourists.
Large, thin and tasty pork schnitzel but expensive when some vegetables are added. Didn't feel that service was responsive, and not treated especially warmly when I went to the wrong one nearby, in the same street.
Be the first to ReplyMust go here
Amazing place! The food was delicious. We had a gulash and a schnitzel to split, and we were so happy. We had no reservations so we had to wait for about 15 minutes but was totally worth. Prices aren't high after all and the location is central.
